Title: Moving Day
Description: TAG: Chris (closed to others)
Katt Marshall - July 5, 2008 03:33 PM (GMT)
It had been a long day, but definitely a good one. It’s a good sign about how you feel about moving in together when you can move most of someone’s things and still consider it a good day. Especially when one of those things is an entertainment center that has to weigh more than an adult elephant. They had spent most of the morning making trips back and forth between Chris’ old place and Katt’s, no their house. About mid-afternoon, they both had decided they needed a break and went over to the pack house to double check the security, adding extra deadbolts and a few other things. Katt had looked over the security system, while Chris knocked some uppity bitch down a few pegs, much to her amusement.
Now, that had been interesting. She could hear their conversation clearly from the back of the house. Even with a lycan’s hearing, it shouldn’t have been so clear. But, it was. The funnier thing is that it seemed like Katt’s own thoughts were making their way out of Chris’ mouth as he reamed the girl out. Chris even realized it, laughing as he headed back to talk to her, to which Katt simply replied, “Great minds think alike,” with a chuckle and a kiss on his lips. They could talk about that later, when they were alone.
It wasn’t too much longer before they were just that, heading back out to Chris’ old place for the last load of his things. Between his truck and her boat of a car, they had managed to clean the place out and get all of his stuff in one day. Now, who said being a lycan didn’t have its perks…
A short time later, both her car and his truck were empty, and the house was full of boxes. Katt flopped down on the couch dramatically, putting the back of her hand to her forehead and closing her eyes. “So tired…” she muttered, hiding her smirk. “I just don’t think I have it in me to move another inch. And to think, we still have to have dinner. What are we to do?”
Christopher Henley - July 6, 2008 12:01 AM (GMT)
The realtor had been contacted and now Katt and Chris were hauling back the last bit of his stuff. Just to think it had been almost a year ago he had just moved into the house and now he was moving in with a beautiful woman into a home they would finish fixing up together. "I didn't know a bachelor could have so much stuff" he said bringing the last box in looking around and trying to find an empty space to drop it.
Scooting another box with is foot he dropped it down and smiled over at Katt. Dinner, he thought his stomach grumbling in response. He walked over behind the couch and placed a kiss on her forehead. "Well I always wanted to cook the first meal in our house, but then we would need to go grocery shopping and then I would have to find where I put my lucky cooking apron in all this" he chuckled waving to their room of boxes.
"But who says we can't have tradition." With that he walked through the maze they called a living room and then searched around looking for the phone. Phone, phone he thought before getting the direction from Katt. This was cool he laughed as he picked up the phone and dialed the number to thier favorite Chinese restaurant and ordered their usual. "Dinner has been taken care of" he said before plopping on the couch and kissing Katt. "It won't be here for about 30 minutes...whatever shall we do?" he feigned innocence breaking at the end with a chuckle.
Katt Marshall - July 6, 2008 07:10 AM (GMT)
Katt looked at Chris, giving a tired laugh. They really had done a lot today. It’s a good thing she was mostly healed up, only with the occasional twinge from her new scar. Or else she be a lot more than just tired at that moment. “Yeah. Aren’t bachelors supposed to live very spartan, lots of pizza boxes and a whole lot less furniture?” She watched as he nudged a box out of his way and dropped the one in his arms in its place. Moving around the couch, Chris bent over, placing a kiss on her forehead before wading through the room in search of the phone. With a grin, she pointed him in the right direction, softly shaking her head.
“Oh, good job. Great hunter gatherer instincts. You man. You find food,” she said as he hung up the phone, patting the couch next to her. As soon as he sat, Katt snuggled up beside him, lifting his arm and wrapping it around her shoulders. Her head fell to rest on his shoulder, grinning up at him. “Well, a half an hour isn’t nearly enough time to do what I want to do right now. So, my vote is we sit here and relax until the food gets here. I’d say we could start unpacking, but the boxes will still be here after dinner.”
Katt grinned up at Chris, leaning up to kiss him lightly on the lips. “So, how’s it feel to be living with a tattooed and outspoken bitch?” she asked teasingly, kissing him again.
Christopher Henley - July 7, 2008 02:27 AM (GMT)
He laughed, bachelors usually didn't have this much furniture or this quality. Most guys owned a futon and trashed it when they took that next step to move in with a woman. Most of his stuff belonged to his Mom and Dad. "Yeah wel when Dad moved into a furnished condo, I got the house full of furniture minus a few items. The only thing I bought was my king size bed, my Dad bought the entertainment center."
After ordering dinner he hung up the phone and couldn't help but laugh. "Me man, me find food, me make fire" he said pounding his chest. "Turned on yet?" he quirked an eyebrow at her with a wink before settling on the couch with his arm around Katt.
"Yeah, maybe I should call them back and say please add an hour" he hugged her close to him. "Relaxing with you in my arms sounds like the best 30 minutes of today." He kissed her back and his eyes went wide at her words. "Shit, did I move into the worng house" he chuckled. "Tattooed, yes. Outspoken, yes. Bitch, I have to disagree with except the litteral terminology. I would have addd beautiful, wonderful, inteeligent before bitch" Chris kissed her again. "And how about me invading your home, how do you feel about that?"
Katt Marshall - July 8, 2008 12:12 AM (GMT)
“Well, I guess it’s a good thing I didn’t buy a bunch of furniture when I moved in here. You saved me a bunch of money bringing all of this stuff with you.” Katt put a finger on her lip, her voice teasing. “This may be a great racket. Find a good looking guy with great furniture. Have him move in. then he mysteriously disappears and you get to keep the stuff.” Katt looked at Chris, eyeing him up and down. “I bet I could take you,” she said, not able to keep a straight face and bursting out with a laugh.
Chris spoke in caveman, and Katt began fanning herself. “Do it again, baby. Do it again,” she said, rolling her eyes back in her head as she fanned herself faster. Still laughing, she snuggled in closer to him on the couch. “Hell yeah. Call them back. But I think we’d need more than an extra hour.” Katt waggled her eyebrows at him, grinning. His next words were sweet, making Katt close her eyes as he kissed her back. She opened them as he pulled away, chuckling with him at both the look on his face and his next words. His lips found hers again, and Katt let herself melt into the embrace.
“Well,” she said, when she managed to get back to her senses, “I’ll tell you after I find out if my new furniture scam works out.” Chuckling, Katt leaned up and kissed him again. “To be honest, I couldn’t be happier. And it’s only invading if I don’t want you here. And believe me, that is far from the case.”
Christopher Henley - July 8, 2008 12:56 AM (GMT)
"I think that's a great plan, when do we start looking? I think we can just sit downtown and watch men in their Armani suits walk by gauging if they have nice furniture or not" Chris nodded rubbing at his chin thoughtfully. He looked her up and down and then looked at himself, "Yeah you are probably right" he laughed along with her.
At the results of resorting back to his neanderthal ways he pounded his chest again "Me man make woo-man happy. Kill and bring back food from far away." he couldn't say another words before collapsing in laughter. Gathering himself, much easier thanks to her next words, he returned the mischievous look. "Feisty tonight are we?"
He loved that they could go from laughing one minute to holding each other in a wonderful kiss. Damn he was one lucky son of a bitch, he didn't quite know what he did in a past life to have it this good, but he wanted to do it again. Her words melted him, Chris wanted to be sure that Katt was as happy with their living situation as he was, and it seemed she was. "Good" he said right before kissing her. Ah kissing the wonderful act that makes him want to say I'll go hungry as long as I can go into the bedroom and make love to this woman.
With that thought he pulled away, wanting to take her right then and there without much foreplay at all, but then they would be interrupted by the delivery man knocking at the door, and with as much noise as they both made there wouldn't have been any secrecy as to what they were doing. He held her cheek against his hand looking into those wonderful brown eyes of hers and kissed her gently this time. "Baby, why don't you go take a shower and I can get everything set for dinner. Give you a taste of what you can come home to every night."
Gods above did he just want to follow her and join her, but alas control won out. Chris looked around at the labeled boxes, Katt was smart enough to convince him unpacking would be easier if they knew just what they were unpacking. He found his kitchen knick-knack box and after digging around a little bit, found two deep green tapered candles with their holders. He walked out to the back porch and set the chairs a little closer to each other, putting a small wooden end table in between them to place the candles on.
Knock, Knock, Knock Chris went to the door, cash in hand and thanked the delivery man as he took the food and placed it on two plates, trying to make it look like it hadn't come from a box. Yes, Katt knew he ordered it, but it was the principle of the matter. Taking he deep breath, he looked at the plates and was satisfied, now only for his beautiful mate and all would be perfect!
Katt Marshall - July 8, 2008 01:21 AM (GMT)
Katt laughed again, something that came so easy when she was with Chris. She just couldn’t describe how perfect all of this seemed. Idly, somewhere in the back of her mind, a voice seemed to nag at her, telling her it wouldn’t last. Katt forcibly pushed that voice into a locked room, and threw away the proverbial key, concentrating more on the man beside her than anything else. “Feisty? You think this is feisty? Baby, you haven’t seen anything yet.” Katt waggled her eyebrows at him, grinning as he kissed her once more.
Katt melted against him again as he kissed her. Couldn’t they just forget the food and go directly to bed? Her stomach strongly disagreed, but after a fierce threatening that it too could end up in a locked room, her stomach shutup. Chris pulled away, obviously thinking the same thing if either of their breathing patterns were any indicator. She leaned her head against his warm hand, smiling up at him as he looked down into her eyes. Damn, she could do this all night. She smiled as he kissed her again, this time softly, pulling away only to speak in words just as soft.
Katt quirked an eyebrow up at him, smirking slightly. Now, just what was he up to. “Well, it would be much better if I had company in the shower, but I don’t think the delivery guy would be happy if he had to wait a few hours to get his money.” Katt slowly pulled herself out of Chris’ arms and stood, turning back and leaning down to kiss him softly again. “Be right back,” she said with a smile against his lips, lingering for just a moment before moving away.
Before long, Katt was underneath the hot spray of water in what was now their master bathroom, smiling as she leaned her head back to rinse the conditioner from her hair. She was becoming a goon. A romantic goon. A swooning romantic goon who melted when the man in the other room simply looked at her. An she was loving every damn minute of it.
Stepping from the shower, Katt wrapped the towel around her and pulled a brush through her long hair. Squeezing as much water as she could from it, she pulled it all back into a loose ponytail to dry before venturing into the bedroom and slipping on a comfortable tank top and equally comfortable shorts. Katt then headed off to find Chris. Well, he wasn’t in the dining room. And he wasn’t in the kitchen. That was when she caught his scent coming from the patio and saw the glimmering of a few lone candles out of the corner of her eye.
Pushing the sliding glass door open, Katt’s face broke into a soft smile, tilting her head as she looked at what Chris had done. Without a word, Katt moved up behind him as he looked down at the plates. Slipping her arms around his waist, Katt leaned up a bit to place a kiss on the back of his neck. “You are amazing,” she said, her lips grazing over his skin.
Christopher Henley - July 8, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
He was so wrapped up in making sure the candles were lit and the plates were in the right place, he didn't even here the beautiful woman walk up behind him. He let out a pleasurable groan at the feel of her teeth on his skin and he turned around looking at that gorgeous smile of hers. He wanted to throw the food out and just grab her in his arms.
"You look amazing. Here beautiful, sit down." He handed Katt her plate and handed her the beer from earlier. Chris took his own plate and took a bite of some beef. Yum he thought, his stomach thoroughly agreeing. He sat there just enjoying his food wondering exactly how he was going to bring up their new found ability.
Just slip it into the conversation Christopher, you can do this. "My old mentor up north, he and his Lupa, they shared an emotional bond unlike any other I have seen before. I heard that mates share different things after they bond a certain way." He glanced over at Katt smirking, "Do we really share thoughts?" he asked a little stunned to say it out loud.
Katt Marshall - July 8, 2008 02:56 AM (GMT)
Katt grinned at the sound that left Chris as soon as her lips found the back of his neck. Grinning, she nipped at him again before loosening her grip on his waist and letting him turn around in her arms. Before he could pull away, Katt managed to place another nip on him, this time on the front of his neck, smiling innocently as she took the plate and her beer from him. She blushed a bit, still not used to the compliments even though she and Chris had been together for months now.
Settling herself in her seat, Katt placed her beer on the small table beside her and took a bite of the chicken into her mouth. She chuckled a bit as Chris began to talk, sneaking in his current worry as he usually did. She looked over at him about the same time that he glanced at her, returning his smirk with one of her own. “Well, there’s only one way to find out.”
Katt kept her eyes on Chris, letting an image develop in her mind. She was there, and Chris was there. Only in this picture, they were both wearing a whole lot less clothes. The pair of them were almost indistinguishable from one another, not sure where one started and the other began. One thing was for sure, they were both really sweaty and really enjoying themselves. Katt looked for the link between them, finding it pretty easily, and pushed that one image towards him.
“So, can you tell what I’m thinking?” she asked with a wicked grin, placing another bite of chicken in her mouth.
Christopher Henley - July 8, 2008 03:18 AM (GMT)
He could make her blush, that still made him jump up and down like a little kid on Christmas. Chris was taking a bite of his beef when he gave her a quizzical look. Wondering exactly what she was doing, he took a sip of his beer. Great timing, feeling the link he had with Katt open and a very naughty thought of them together made its way to him. He choked on the beer and tried not to spit it out.
"Can you give a guy a warning before you just turn me on with a thought" he laughed, wiping his face. "A simple yes would have done you know" he laughed. He couldn't look over at Katt just, yet, he wanted to make that thought real right there on the porch, the beach was a private front for a reason.
A few minutes of staring out into the ocean and eating a bit more of his dinner and Chris could look over at Katt. "How, I mean..." he stopped and took a breath. "I called your beats without knowing what I was doing until I after it was done, now we can share thoughts, kind of. How? Did our beasts take over and say 'This is how its going to be'?" He was staring back out of the water, taking sips of his beer trying to process everything. "It feels right, like I couldn't be living any other way" he smirked.
Katt Marshall - July 8, 2008 03:33 AM (GMT)
Katt let out a laugh, trying to disguise it and failing miserably, as she felt their link flare to life and watched as Chris choked on his beer. Swallowing and wiping his face, Chris replied, sounding a bit breathy even as he laughed. It even took him a few more minutes to compose himself before he could manage to turn and look at her. Katt filled the time by eating her chicken, smirking a bit in Chris’ direction.
Katt shrugged a bit as she looked at Chris. “Well, to be honest, I’m not really sure. From the people I’ve talked to after I was infected, your beast kind of decides how and when things happen.” Katt’s eyes went out to look at the ocean, sitting quiet and listening to the soft motion of the waves as they hit the sand.
“I know what you mean,” she said, smiling as she turned back to Chris. “So, we make the best of it. Like I can send you wonderful pictures like that when you’re trying to work.”
Christopher Henley - July 10, 2008 12:44 AM (GMT)
All he could do was nod at what she spoke about their beasts knowing better. He knew that, his wolf had been his best friend since he was turned, never able to let anyone but his father into his trusted circle to know about him being a lycan. Now he had a beautiful woman he could share all his thoughts, fears, hopes and dreams with.
They each finished dinner, now only sitting outside, listening to the roll of the ocean sitting on their deck. The moon was shining down on them, looking out on thier stretch of beach. Theirs, ours, the words seemed foreign and yet at the same time they fit perfectly.
He finally stood up, taking their plates, leaning down for a kiss "Don't move beautiful, I will be right back." That seemed to be his nickname for her, because it was true. She could be in nothing, dressed up, or dressed down and he would find her beautiful. He came back, simply rinsing the dishes and putting them in the dishwasher.
Chris knelt down in front of Katt, looking up into her eyes smiling. "How is day one faring for us so far?" Day one of living together, he didn't have a hour plus drive ahead of him to go home anymore, no he was already home. "What shall we do for our first night in our home?" Yes sex was on his mind, of course but he was a male, so sue him. But he also was up for unpacking, playing yahtzee or anything else hit mate could think of.
Katt Marshall - July 10, 2008 01:07 AM (GMT)
The rest of their meal was spent in silence, but it was a comfortable silence that Katt enjoyed rather than freaked out over. Before she could even attempt to get up, Chris admonished her to stay put, taking their plates and leaning down for a kiss. Tilting her head up, Katt kissed him, letting her eyes close as their lips touched. She stayed that way for a moment after he left, a slow smile settling on her lips. Finally opening her eyes, she let her gaze move out to the ocean.
Wow, was the only word she could manage for that moment. This was all just so… wow. Most people, when first meeting her, never seemed to get past the tattoos that covered her skin, thinking she was a pretty fun girl, but not much else. Chris pushed past that, and it was something she was loving more and more about him with each passing day. He was giving, sweet, romantic… just… wow.
Chris came back, kneeling in front of her with a smile. She smiled back, both at him and his words, leaning down to kiss him softly. “Day one, in the books, and I am loving it,” she said with a smile against his lips before leaning back and taking his hands with her. Holding his hands in hers, she looked back out at the ocean for a minute, an idea forming in her head. “Well, unpacking can always wait until tomorrow. How do you feel about going for a swim?”
Christopher Henley - July 10, 2008 01:24 AM (GMT)
Ah good no disappointments on either side he thought. "Great, thats what I was hoping to hear, because I have to agree." Chris kissed her back, trying ot to smile too much to where she was kissing teeth, not good. It seemed they were made for each other, she felt so natural in his hands, in his arms, in his life.
He furrowed his brow, "But if we want to go swimming then I need to unpack to find my...oh...Oh!" His face lit up with knowing, feeling a bit embarrassed that he hadn't caught on too quickly. He stood up,, pulling Katt towards him with enough force she came into his arms, kissing her again, tilting her back in a small dip.
"Alright beautiful, a swim it is" he said, holding her hand as they headed down the deck steps to the sand. He started peeling his few layers off, throwing his shirt down far enough away from the water. He turned around to face Katt "May I? he asked sweetly "Then you can do me" he grinned his look just a tad mischeivious.
Katt Marshall - July 10, 2008 01:33 AM (GMT)
Katt grinned against his lips, pulling back again to look him in the eyes. She raised an eyebrow, smirking at him as he spoke. It took him a moment, but when he got it, his face lit up and Katt couldn’t help but laugh, a lighter and more girlish laugh than she had let out in a long time. She waggled her eyebrows at him, almost giggling as he stood and pulled her into his arms. Her giggle turned into a squeak as he kissed her, dipping her body backwards. Shaking her head as he let her go and took her hand, she walked with him towards the beach. Well, walking wasn’t really the right term. She kind of hung on as he dragged her in the general direction of the water.
“Why, Mr. Henley. I would think you are a bit excited about the prospect of swimming with me. Well, skinny dipping if we want to be precise. But hey, that’s what a private beach is for, right?” she asked with a laugh, letting go of his hand as he pried the shirt off and over his head. She let her eyes follow the line of his body, waggling her eyebrows at him again at his next words. “Oh, but I think teasing you would be much more fun.”
Smirking, Katt turned away from Chris, facing the water. She slowly pulled her shirt up and over her head, looking back over her shoulder at him with a wink. Taking a step towards the water, she let her shorts slip past her hips, adding just a bit of extra wiggle to her walk as her feet hit the water. She looked back at him over her shoulder once more, smirking a bit as she continued into the water. “So, you planning on joining me, or are you just going to stand there all night?”
