Title: Midnight Rendezvous

Terrance Macro - June 4, 2008 05:36 PM (GMT)
Having been born a necromancer, Terry had always had the ability to raise the dead, no not resurrection, zombies: the whole rotting carcass thing. His parents where slightly perplexed as to how a werewolf and a clairvoyant managed to get a necromancer as a kid. Not that they were all to bothered by it. His fathers pack accepted him like any other cub, or at least that’s how he was referred to, since most of the pack tended to crash at their place every other weekend.

The night air was cool, and a light breeze blew pass him. He had arrived a tad early not wanting to be late for either the people who hired him to raise the dead for him or Karrie. Karrie being a werelion he met…he wasn’t even sure if it was a whole day ago but they did manage to have mind-blowing sex not once but twice in the given time period. The scratches on his back were more then enough proof for that. Luckily they were only cuts from her fingernails in her human form otherwise he would be getting worried that he might be turning furry once a month.

He retrieved a small bottle containing ritual ointment, from his backpack, checking if everything was in order. Two small silver knifes, the ointment, and what seemed to be a small charm rested on the bottom. He slipped one of the knives under his shirt, never be to careful a man had already tried to strangle him for doing unholy things to the grave of his mother, leaning against a small mausoleum he waited for the girl in question

Karrie Grant - June 4, 2008 06:09 PM (GMT)
After leaving the hotel, they parted ways to get ready for their next...er...well date didn't sound quite right and meeting sounded too business, oh well she thought. Karrie went home and showered, she didn't want to go to Terry's raising smelling like sex. She threw on a pair of jeans and boots and a black tank top. She put on a little bit of makeup and left her hair down, still a little damp.

She got in her car, a new one since the hunk of junk she drove before finally broke down for good on her. It was a cute silver car, it fit her much better. A couple wrong turns and she found the cemetery. She got chills as she walked out into the night air despite it being warm. For some reason cemeteries gave her chills, but she shrugged it off looking for Terry. It was pretty dark, but her eyes adjusted quickly.

She spotted him and smiled as she walked up to him. "Hi" she said softly not quite knowing what to do, but she gave him a hug and a quick kiss after looking around making sure his clients weren't around, it wouldn't look very professional.

Terrance Macro - June 5, 2008 02:08 PM (GMT)
She kissed him after making sure that nobody was around. She was considered, well that earned her a point. Wearing a long sleeved black shirt, jeans with a backpack on his back he didn’t look quite spectacular as he did yesterday but then again she saw him butt naked, being shy now wouldn’t help.

“Hey, long time no see” he replied “Shall we?” he asked as he led the way

Passing several tombstones, mausoleums following a small path, the party in question which had hired him didn’t want to be present for the raising too much of a controversy. They did however give him a large sum for the job, half now half later after he gained the info where the necklace in question was located.

He explained it all that to Karrie as they finally found the grave. He dropped the backpack next to his feet as he retrieved the ritual ointment, opening a side pocket he took another small bottle containing some chicken blood. He took off his shirt his skin erupted in goosebumps as the cool air washed over him, the silver knife sticking out of his belt. Handing the bottle with the blood to Karrie he made his best puppy eyes impression and asked:

“Do you mind spilling this in a circle while I rub this in?” he said as he held the ointment bottle in his other hand “it will make a lot more sense when I start” he promised

Karrie Grant - June 5, 2008 05:07 PM (GMT)
Karrie followed Terry through the maze of tombstones, rubbing her arms despite how warm it was. She didn't like graveyards. She was not exactly paying attention to Terry, so when he stopped she caught herself right before running into the back of him. It wasn't as if she thought a ghost or something would come out and get her, it was just a irrational fear of there being people buried underneath her feet.

"So people pay absurds amount of money so they can figure out things that only a dead person knows. Wow" she said a smile playing on her lips, "And I thought my job took advantage of people" she joked. "I assume this...necromancy, isn't very widespread then."

She took the bottle from Terry and looked at it puzzled. She took the top off and knew what was held inside, her lioness floating up quickly at the smell of blood, a hot wave of energy rippled out before Karrie shut it down. "Sorry" she spoke softly as she looked down at the bottle. "How big of a circle?" she asked. Magic of any sort was a big ol' blank spot to her, she didn't know anything. The smell of herbs hit her nose, calming her lioness to a pace instead of wanting out. "What is that?" she asked as she walked the circle just as Terry told her to do.

Terrance Macro - June 5, 2008 07:44 PM (GMT)
After he explained that the circle was supposed to surround the grave, he proceeded to rub the ointment over his chest, abs, and face making arcane markings of sort as he was thought to do. His necromancy responded forming energy at his feet, recognizing the familiar setting of a graveyard. Karrie’s energy hit his back as a heat way, only to die out seconds later.

“Nope necromancy is actually rare” he answered “And this thing…”he held out the bottle with the ointment “…is a ceremonial ointment, many vaudun priests use it”

His wrinkled his nose as some of the ointment dripped down his nose, yuck. He bottled the ointment being done with necessary rubbing “It serves like a preternatural version of a bullet vest protecting us if something backfires…” he added “…it can also be used as an power enhancement, meditation drug, aphrodisiac…” he thought about it for a second “…and that’s about it”

“Thanks for the circle” he said as he took a look checking it “Shall we?”
Taking the knife that was stuck between his belt and jeans he cut his palm, slicing the skin, blood poured, trickling down his fingers and onto the grave. He entered the circle. His necromancy flared up again sipping into the grave. His power traveled along the blood circle searching for a corpse to raise, it sunk into the ground going into the coffin. He felt his energy pouring into the body, its muscles, organs, cells.

“Ronald Troy hear my voice and rise” a rotting hand emerged from the ground

The corpse of Ronald Troy emerged from the grave, his tux in which he was buried had fallen apart by now, his flesh no longer pink like in a normal human but rather a sickly color of green. A wet sucking sound was heard as Ronald opened his eyes, a pair of empty brown eyeballs stared into nothingness not perceiving anybody actually.

“With this blood answer my questions” he rubbed some of his blood gently against the rotted lips of the zombies “Do you know who you are?”

“Yes” the zombie replied his voice raspy

Karrie Grant - June 5, 2008 09:21 PM (GMT)
"Ceremonial ointment" she repeated and quirked an eyebrow as he explained all the possible uses for it, especially the last one. "Aphrodisiac" she said again her tone teasing. Her smile dissipated as he brought out the blade and sliced into his own hand, she took a inward hiss of breath as he did so and her lioness was back below the surface, the scent of blood so close to her drawing her forth.

It was a familiar scent, it was Terry who she had tasted and been with al the night before and suddenly the lioness was very interested in the human all of a sudden. Her energy changed once again and Karrie was getting frustrated with herself knowing Terry could feel her energy shift. The heat couldn't travel outwards because of the circle and it felt much warmer inside the circle than outside of it.

The lioness went away when the scent of the dead zombie came along, the heat easing down as the zombie came up. Karrie could only have her jaw open and couldn't think of anything to say. It was scary, all at once he was alive and dead at once and Karrie just stood in the back hoping to stay out of the way. She was fascinated that he had just brought a zombie up out of the ground and she was speechless.

Terrance Macro - June 5, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
The zombie waited for further instructions. The heat of circle made him sweat, his back starting to get shiny. The zombies eyes remained focused on him, waiting. Terry gave him a brief description of the trinket in question, hoping that he would be sentient enough to answer him. The zombie simply looked at him for several seconds.

“In the attic of the old farm house…” he replied “…yes there’s where I put it”

“Are you sure?” Terry asked

Another few seconds passed the zombie thinking or at least doing a similar process. The heat of the circle became stable, less volatile. Terry snapped his fingers gaining the zombies drifting attention again.

“Yes I locked it in a metal box”

“Good where’s the key?”

“Around Laura’s neck” Terry shot him a perplexed look, the zombie didn’t react. Being dead usually made you immune to odd looks, glares and relatively any other facial gestures.

“Thank you Roland Troy go back and rest” he sent the zombie back “I bind you to your grave, with blood and steel”

The ground opened up, swallowing the zombie back whence it came, the circle of power around him dissipating

Karrie Grant - June 5, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
It was amazing to see a zombie answering questions. She watched as he went back into the grave and the circle around them still reverberated with power. She knew at least that the one who powered the circle needed to be broken before one could cross it, so she moved toward Terry who was still shirtless, the sliver of the moonlight reflecting on the sweat that her energy caused.

She wiped at her own forehead and let out a deep breath. "Wow...you...wow that was, wow. I have never seen that before" she said still in awe. "Is that it? I mean you just have to call the family and tell them what you found out, right?" He had only mentioned this one job. "What other plans do you have tonight? Anymore clients?" The air had only the slightest edge to it now, Karrie wasn't as strong as some lycans so she had a harder time suppressing the energy.

Terrance Macro - June 8, 2008 10:08 PM (GMT)
Terry smiled “Yeah, you should have been there when my necromancy went first off” he chuckled. True to the fact, his neighbors never forgave him and his dead hamster incident. He started to shiver due to the cool air, quickly he threw over his black shirt, the shirt having many stains from previous raisings.

“No sorry that’s it for tonight” he said “Some of us raise the dead professionally, but I’m not currently employed for any company”
The air remained cool although a strange edge continued to resonate.

He leaned in for a quick kiss keeping his cut hand away from Karrie, not wanting to get blood stains on her clothes, they were a bitch to get out. A bump sound was heard. Terry looked towards the direction the sound had come.

“Did you hear that?” he asked

A ghoul slowly peaked from behind one of the tombstone its eyes glowing yellow in the dark. It’s throat making grunting noises.

Karrie Grant - June 8, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
Karrie giggled as he threw his shirt back on. "Oh, so you are freelance then? Must be nice to work on your own schedule." She returned the kiss, the tinge of blood still scenting the air though he kept the hand from her. Karrie looked in the same direction, her reflexes would have been quicker, but she was enjoying the kiss too much.

"Yes I did" she said her head turned toward the sound. There stood something that wreaked of death. It was similar to what she had just seen rise form the ground, but it was also different. She let out a growl low in her throat, her lioness suddenly very there and very on edge at this thing. "What is that?" she asked breathily. This is why she hated cemeteries.

He broke the circle so they could move freely now, but Karrie didn't move from Terry's side. If it would have been a wild animal she would have chased it off, but she had no idea what this was - a dead something. Worst comes to worst she thought, I will just shift and chase ti away. She waited for Terry thinking this was his area of expertise.

Terrance Macro - June 22, 2008 09:41 PM (GMT)
“That is a ghoul” he explained as the creature stared at them, still making grunting noises. Its eyes flashed again as it hid behind the tombstone. His hand was still dripping with blood. That was odd he had been over dozens of cemeteries all over the world and he met maybe a half a dozen of ghouls

“Think of them as a cross version between vampires and zombies” he added “They are stronger then normal humans, weaker then shifters, and lack a pulse whatsoever, lack the mind poweres though” He sighed had he unwittingly drawn this ghoul here? “Usually they don’t attack anything bigger then themselves, cowards really”

A thought came to him, when was it the last time he saw a lone ghoul? “Ghouls are actually pack creatures, which actually begs the question where his friends are?” His hand still stung, as another pair of steps and grunts came behind them. Great if this was his fault then these Ghouls are probably attracted to his necromancy for what ever reason. They were surrounded by at least a dozen ghouls.

Then it hit him, the reason why they weren’t running. “It’s my hand” he said in a half whisper “They think I’m wounded” one of the ghouls started edging towards them. It was probably Karrie why they didn’t attack on sight. If he could reactivate the circle he would stand a fighting chance, as for Karrie they would probably run for the hills as soon as she showed a flicker of her power.

“How fast can you shift?” he asked

Karrie Grant - June 23, 2008 01:05 AM (GMT)
Karrie listened to Terry's explanation of exactly what was staring them down. "Oh great, mindless eating machines." She turned around, hearing the same noises that were coming from the thing in front of them, behind them. Then he continued explaining why he thought they had found them, "And they want to eat you...fantastic."

She took her eyes from the ghouls to Terry at his next sentence. "You want me to shift?" She would scare almost any human off so why wouldn't an animalistic creature not be scared of a huge lion. "If it will save us, I can do it pretty quick. Karrie started stripping, taking the clothes off and putting them in a pile. "If I shift back to human fast I am going to be worthless for the next 8-12 hours, can you take me back to your place and just let me sleep it off?" She figured he knew that a submissive pack member wouldn't have that kind of strength from their conversation earlier.

There was too much for her to wait for the answer, so she kept her eyes on the ghouls and shifted. Her lioness was so happy to finally be out and about again, her skin smoothly turning from cream skin to tawny fur. She let out a roar she was sure would send them running to make a meal out of some animal instead of Terry. She nuzzled Terry's arm and sat beside him. She wasn't going to shift back until she knew they were safe.

Terrance Macro - July 24, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
Terry tried not to chuckle as he heard his companions comments. He did however try not to let his eyes pop out as he watched her shift. His skin crawled with energy as she started to shift. Her clothes fell off revealing almost nothing as a layer of tawny fur cowered her body. He skeleton and body posture shifted from bipedal to that of a four legged animal. She roared causing him to involuntary wince, but also for the ghouls to move backwards startled at the sudden turn of events.

“You sure are a screamer” he jested under his breath not quite sure if she heard him

The ghouls retreated for the moment behind several of the tombstones and grave marks. He let out a breath luckily those critters were terrified of pretty much anything not that Karrie wasn’t a sight to behold. Her feline form was as graceful as had her human form been. The image of what they had done a couple of hours before caused his cheeks to flush. Quickly he grabbed her stuff showing it down his backpack.

“We should hurry before they decide otherwise” he explained “There is a cottage or something that’s abounded on the other side of the graveyard if he hurry we should be fine”

They couldn’t go in the city with him looking as if had been raised from the dead and he wasn’t quite sure that people knew about Karrie and her furry form. Once there he could create a small circle of power to repel the ghouls and they would be hidden from normal people. With a little luck nothing dead or otherwise would cross their path

Karrie Grant - July 25, 2008 09:08 PM (GMT)
The human mind heard Terry's comment and chuckled, though the lion could only show it in her eyes that she heard it. Karrie trotted beside the human to the abandoned caretaker's home on the far side of the cemetery. She glanced over her shoulder and sniffed the air to make sure they weren't being followed, but it seemed if anything fought a ghoul they would turn running.

As Terry and her reached the house, he opened the door as she stalked in. Karrie didn't miss the reaction when she roared, Terry may have grown up around lycans but to have the woman you just slept with go furry in front of your eyes was a different story. A couple hours and she should be able to switch back and sleep for the remainder of the morning. That actually made Karrie a bit sad, that she was stuck in this form not able to talk with Terry more.

The lioness laid down on the dusty floor and watched the human with an intense gaze. The smell of blood was still there, but it had faded a bit. When Terry was close enough, the lioness liked his hand. A gesture to thank him for being quick on his feet, she could only hope he took it that way.

Terrance Macro - July 26, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
Once they were inside Terry proceeded to rub in some of the walls with his ointment. Without his energy to burn it actually concealed Necromancer energy one could right it off as an odd side effect. As soon as he sat down next to her he felt the tongue of Karries lioness on his hand. He chuckled slightly as he scratched her behind one of her ears. He had done it on reflex oddly enough, back at home most wolves enjoyed that while in wolf form.

“Sorry” he said as he removed his hand “Force of habit”

He laid down next to her the floorboards squeaked horribly as he did so “You’re stuff is in my backpack so no worries there and we should be safe here for a while”

He snuggled next to her “Don’t mind? Do you?” he asked “It’s kind of getting chilly in here” he added

At least for him she should be quite warm with a fur pelt around her. It felt oddly comfortable with his cheek pressed against her, her fur soft and warm. He closed his eyes resting them for a second. He definitely needed to find another job or at least that didn’t involve demented cousins of vampires eating you. That aside he couldn’t help but to wonder what an odd week it had been first he meets a wonderful woman who doesn’t run for the hills once finding out that he’s a necromancer and now he was cuddling against her lycanthrope form in a shed on a cemetery. He simply had to wonder what was to follow

Karrie Grant - July 26, 2008 02:55 AM (GMT)
As Terry rubbed behind her ear, the lioness purred loudly. He pulled back his hand and she looked up surprised and licked his hand again to make sure he knew it was ok. The lioness nodded as he told her Karrie's clothes were in the bag, the human mind comprehending what the animal could not.

Karrie watched as Terry settled in next to her. She wondered how long till they would be safe, probably sun up. Spending another night with terry didn't sound bad at all. Of course, she wouldn't be able to do much for a couple hours other than purr and nuzzle him. She closed her eyes, her feline mouth smiling as much as she could without looking like she was staring at dinner. Maybe they could sleep a bit, that actually sounded, good Karrie thought.

The nap in between seeing Terry wasn't enough and as he settled down next to her, memories flooded back from the hotel. A couple hours and they could talk again. At least she had saved their lives, kind of. Her breathing slowed and she purred softly as she relaxed beside the man. This was a nice way to fall asleep, at least as nice as a shack floor can get.

Terrance Macro - July 29, 2008 11:31 PM (GMT)
He woke up several hours later the sun light crept into the abounded house through various cracks and holes. The light illuminated the spider webs and dust particles that either clung to the walls or flew through the air. He rubbed his eyes as he let out a small yawn. It took him a few seconds before he remembered what had happened the night prior, he would need to start charging a lot more money.

He looked down, next to his arm was the naked form of Karrie. Had she shifted back while he slept? He had no idea but what he did know was that it was defiantly her. Gently he leaned over her, and kissed her cheek and proceeded to nuzzle her neck with his nose and lips. Even now she smelled of perfume, how on Earth she managed that was beyond him but he didn’t complain.

“Hey wake up sleepy head” he whispered gently into her ear

Karrie Grant - July 29, 2008 11:57 PM (GMT)
Karrie tried to keep herself awake, even after she heard the soft breathing slow to a steady pace as Terry fell asleep. After hours of hearing nothing outside the abandoned dwelling, she must have fallen asleep as well.

Karrie shifted in her sleep back to her human form, even the substance that came with shifting back and forth had evaporated. She felt someone move beside her and he mind was a little foggy trying to remember where she was. Terry's scent caught her attention and she relaxed a bit remembering where she was and who she was with.

The woman smiled as he whispered in her ear, turning to face him, finally allowing her eyes to open. 'Good morning" she said softly. She realized she didn't have any clothes on, but she was used to that because she was a lycan as well as a stripper. "How did you sleep?" she asked, propping herself up on her side, putting her hand beneath her head. "Good I hope" she continued to smile.

"Those ghouls don't come out during the day do they?" she asked, a tinge of nervous energy touching her tone. She did not want to shift again, she actually enjoyed talking to Terrance, along with many other things she couldn't do while in her lioness form. "I didn't scare you last night did I?" Karrie turned away, not wanting to look him in the eye as she asked the question.

Terrance Macro - July 30, 2008 06:36 PM (GMT)
He smirked slightly as she propped herself next to him. His eyes remained focused upon hers because he didn’t trust himself not to try to catch a peek of something else. A silly thought when one considered how the two had first met, or what they had done afterwards.

“Nah don’t worry they are nocturnal” he explained

He couldn’t help to feel odd as she asked him the second question and then turned away avoiding eye contact. He let his chin rest on her shoulder and wrapped his arm around her waist pulling her closer against him. God she smelled beautifully.

“No offense but as shape shifting goes that wasn’t exactly the most terrifying” he said “And before you ask I wouldn’t care if you were a were-monkey with leather wings and a scorpion tail, you saved my butt yesterday night” he kissed her neck gently, it was a quick chaste kiss

“In my defense however I have to say that most of my seconds dates don’t end up with zombies, running for your life or ghouls” he said jokingly “That’s usually reserved for the third date”The boards beneath them squeaked as he adjusted himself to spoon her perfectly

Karrie Grant - July 31, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
"Oh good" Karrie said, relief flooding her. She didn't know much about the dead, she worked with the undead so she knew about vamps, but ghouls she only knew could smell blood and were easy target hunters. Terry pulled her closer to him, her smile widening as he rested his chin on her shoulder, turning her head a little to catch a glimpse of the sun glinting through the busted out window and catching his lavender hair.

Her laugh shook her whole body resting against him. "A weremonkey with wings" she said still laughing. She caught her breath not remembering the last time she had laughed like that. "So we are running ahead of schedule then. So waking up in a shack in a graveyard as date number three..." she teased. "When do you reserve that for?"

Karrie went over it in her head, date number one, of course just calling it a date made butterflies go off in her stomach, stripclub and hotel, date number two was the graveyard and date number three was waking up after turning furry to snuggle with Terry. "How does breakfast sound for getting this one off on the right foot?"

Terrance Macro - July 31, 2008 07:55 PM (GMT)
“Waking up in a shack next to a beautiful naked woman hmm…” he mused out loud teasingly “…definitely sixth date although the shack is optional” he added with a smirk

He snuggled against her. The breakfast thing wasn’t such a bad idea he didn’t even notice how hungry he was until Karrie had proposed it. His stomach or the black pit which it had become clenched slightly at the prospect of food and he couldn’t entirely blame his internal organs for it. His back was also slightly aching probably due the fact that he slept on a floor older then the graveyard.

“You know food isn’t such a bad idea” he whispered slightly in her ear, while tossing some of her hair aside with a brush of his hand “However we should get cleaned up first don’t you think?”

“So late breakfast early lunch?” he proposed as he blinked some of the sunlight blinding him

Karrie Grant - July 31, 2008 10:48 PM (GMT)
Just hearing his voice seemed to put all her jitters at ease. She had a bit of a complex about men she had dated, most of them left her wondering what she did wrong. After Marcus there had been a string of rebounds and then she decided to give up on men altogether. Now look where she was.

As much as they both should get up, she was so comfortable lying there with Terry. "Yeah" she sighed "You're right. My place is a 5 minute drive from here. I am in the middle of packing to move into the Pride house, waiting out the end of my lease, so if you don't mind boxes..." she trailed off sitting up looking around the room to find clothes.

"Or we can just meet up later" Karrie suggested. "There's a couple good places downtown that have great brunch specials." Finding Terry's bag she looked over at him for conformation before she began digging around in a bag that didn't belong to her. "May I get my clothes? I don't think I would get too far outside as is before being arrested" she joked.

Terrance Macro - August 2, 2008 10:03 PM (GMT)
Terry couldn’t help himself but to let his eyes wonder as Karrie walked over to his bag and proceeded to retrieve her clothes. The small part of his brain that generally forced him to act of decency and be generally a good guy overpowered his hormones and he turned her, his back in order to give her some privacy.

He stood up his back still turned. He liked the idea of visiting her place. Yet still he was a mess, his shirt was ruined, his wrist bandaged the bleeding seemed to have stooped yet it was still hurting like hell and for all intense and purposes so was he. Then again nobody ever said that Terry was a logical being

“Does your place have warm water?” he asked with a half shrug half tease “And I love boxes there all so geometrical and brown” he joked

One day he would have to decide which part of him was supposed to lead his life: his head, his libido, his necromancy. But that day was not now

Karrie Grant - August 3, 2008 06:16 AM (GMT)
As Karrie dug through his bag, she saw Terry turn around. She found that a sweet gesture. She slipped her clothes back on and zipped his bag back up. As she walked in front of him she threw the bag over her shoulder. "Yes it actually has a great hot water heater though the rest of the place" she shook her head, "is not very nice. Not a very good neighborhood, but its what I call home for now." She laughed, "Good cause they are everywhere, but it gives it a modern look with the boxiness."

She opened the door, flinching at the bright sunlight suddenly shining down on them. "Ugh, this is why I am usually nocturnal" she grimaced. "You can follow me to my place. I actually have a shirt I think might fit you. I usually sleep in it when I need something to wear" she said noticing his disheveled shirt.

As she drove to her apartment, Karrie kept checking the rearview mirror convinced he was going to loose himself in traffic to ditch her. As she pulled in front of the run down building she urned to Terry. "5th floor" she said finding he door to the stairway.

She opened her door to the box filled apartment and cringed at how dirty she thought it looked. "Please excuse the mess" she said grabbing a pair of back fishnets and walking to the bedroom. "The bathroom is over hear" she pointed to the room next to the bedroom. "Guests first. Just give me a hollar when you are done" she winked at him, pulling a towel out from under the sink. "If you need anything just yell. I will find a shirt i think will fit." She was nervous having a guy in her house, she hadn't had anyone over ever, and she was sure it showed.

Terrance Macro - August 14, 2008 06:10 PM (GMT)
Her bathroom was past her bedroom that had potential. He tried to suppress the smirk that was forming on his lips as he took in her apartment. Several boxes were either stacked on each other or were lying around. He put his backpack on one of the boxes and took the towel she handed him.

“Thanks” he said as he entered the bathroom

He quickly took of his shirt followed by his jeans, underwear and socks. He jumped into the shower rather quickly as the cold air sent him chills down his spine causing his skin to erupt in goosebumps. He let out a loud yelp as the cold water hit him.

“Cold water, cold water…” he repeated a couple of times under his breath

The cold water cascaded down his body for only a moment before it went warm. He leaned against the wall as removed the make-shift bondage on his arm. The cut had started healing and the bleeding had stooped with a little luck the wound would heal without leaving a scar. He took the soap bar that was lying around and proceeded to wash himself of the dirt that his sleep over at the abounded caretakers place. Once he was done he dried himself off and wrapped the towel around his hips.

“Hey Karrie you don’t have anything hot to drink do you?” he asked as he peeked around the corner looking for the lycanthrope

Karrie Grant - August 15, 2008 03:42 PM (GMT)
Karrie had to surpress the giggle as she heard Terry exclaim the water was cold. She had been so used to waiting a few minutes for the water to warm, she hadn't even thought of telling him about the trick, oops. She had made herself busy digging around in her drawers, sure an ex of hers had left some track pants around here as long as she hadn't thrown them out. Good luck smiled down on her, at the bottom of the drawer she spotted a black pair of track pants.

She turned around with a tshirt and the pants in hand and couldn't help but stare a little as Terry stood there in just a towel. She shook her head and handed him the clothes a small tinge of pink to her cheeks showing. "Um, yeah" she nodded "I'll get you some coffee. Give you your space to change, then I'll hop in the shower." With that she turned to find the only resemblance of food she kept in her apartment, coffee. She loved it and sometimes it was the only thing to get her through some of the harder nights.

She began brewing it in a single cup maker which took less time than a whole pot, one of the splurges she let herself have. "Do you want any cream or sugar?" she asked as she began preparing his cup. As soon as it was ready she walked back in the room and handed him the steaming cup. "My best work" she winked at him.

"My turn." Karrie walked into the bathroom and started the water, turning it as hot as she dared and waited a few moments. What was she doing? she asked herself. She had been so guarded before Marcus and now, the next pretty face who treated her like more than a piece of meat, they were down again. It was hard to analyze what they had, whether it was just good fun or if it had potential. She had no idea what Terry wanted and was probably more clueless about what she wanted.

Coming out of her thoughts, she hopped in the shower, the water steaming. She washed her hair and scrubbed away the dirt that was stuck to her skin from sleeping on the floor outside. A hot shower always made her feel it was a new day, washing away whatever happened the night before, but this time she had a good thing she didn't want to get rid of. Karrie brushed her hair, still wet from the shower and wrapped herself in the white towel. She walked out of the room and smiled at Terry. "So where to for breakfast?" she asked. She really wanted to just lie down in her warm bed and talk, but her stomach strongly disagreed with that thought. Maybe he won't bolt after spending more time with me she thought as she waited to figure out where they were headed.

It took him a moment to inspect the clothing she had given him. The pants were black and looked relatively new the same could be said for the shirt. He couldn’t help himself but to wonder whose clothes were these exactly? An ex-boyfriend or maybe a relative? And indeed what was he exactly doing here? To say that he was confused would be an understatement. He dropped the towel on nearby chair before he proceeded to try on the pants.

The sound of water came from the bathroom. He pulled the pants up; they easily reached his hips and passed them. Whom ever they belonged the person was obviously a tad taller then Terry himself and slightly more muscular and quite into sports which ended up damaging the said pants. The end result was that that the pants loosely hung around Terry’s hips, revealing his navel and a trail of hair that led down to his groin yet covered up the more vital parts, he could only imagine how it looked from behind. The shirt itself was less problematic, it actually fit him.

He took a sip of the coffee she had given him. It was good not to strong or to sweet. His mind wandered again as thought about Karrie. She was nice, good looking with a doubt, not to mention that she would rock his world in bed, and he actually liked her. Which again brought the question did she consider him a fling or something else? He took another sip of coffee.

“How about take out?” he proposed turning around and revealing the fact that these pants didn’t really serve their purpose. Or it least they didn’t do it anymore probably due the elastic band having snapped at some prior point. He was rather proud off himself due that he didn’t drool when he saw her in the towel and that the sweatpants didn’t turn in a tent.

“I know a really good Chinese place that delivers?” he asked wit a purr in his voice as he gave her a seductive smile

The pants were a little too big for his frame, but they covered him up. He looked good so casually dressed. "Sorry they are so big, I have had those forever, just never parted with them. But you look good regardless" she flashed him a smile. He had to wonder why she had guys pants in her house, but she couldn't think of saying anything that wouldn't sound like an excuse. Plus, he knew she wasn't a saint, he knew where she worked.

"Oh ordering in is a great idea." She looked over at the clock about to roll over to noon and she shook her head. "I'll be right back. Sit sit" she said pointing to the fluffy bed behind him as she went back to the kitchen/living room area. She found her schedule for the week and scanned through it finding today's date. She grabbed the phone calling Maria, one of the other headliners she knew was off tonight. "Hey Maria its Karrie. Yeah I have had some things come up, could you take my headline spot tonight? Yeah I will call Rick. Thanks, I owe you." One more phone call and she had the night off.

After hanging up with an irritated Rick, but happy to have the exotic Maria to headline, she grabbed the Chinese menus she had, take out being the only form of cooking she did in her apartment. "Pick a menu any menu" she grinned crawling onto the bed with Terry. She wondered if he was only sticking around for the sex or if there may be something there with him. She wanted to find out, but was still coming off a break up and didn't want to get hurt again.

"When you are hungry they all look good don't they" she said glancing over the menu they settled on. "General Tao Chicken is always yummy, I think I am gonna get that. How about you?" she said pushing the menu closer so Terry could read it better. He had wonderful brown eyes that the light hit just right and she could see the flecks off all the different shades. Karrie could only smile as she watched him read over the menu. Could there be something here she wondered. He was sweet, knew about lycanthropes, was very nice to look at, knew what she did for a living...Karrie couldn't think of one thing he didn't know about her. Hell he knew more about her than most of her exs and they had known eachother for all of 48+ hours. They ordered and Karrie reached in her purse for some cash, setting it aside for when the delivery got here.

"Any plans for the day?" she asked. Part of her saw him splitting after he got what he wanted from her, of course she hadn't a clue as to what he did want from her or how to ask, and the other part saw them lying in bed watching movies and talking until he decided to go home. She picked up their dirty clothes and tossed them in the washer so he could be wearing something a bit more comfortable and that fit better. "Cause I am off for the night, lucky me" Karrie smiled up at him as she crawled back in the bed looking up into his eyes, her breath catching in her throat as their gaze connected.
