History: Khyron Storm was born in the 1970AD. His parents, Lord and Lady Storm, were nobles in England and he was raised to be very proper and intelligent as he was being groomed for leadership. He never had want for anything and lived quite a extravagant lifestyle. He traveled all over the European continent learning from the great masters of the time. He studied with the Greeks and Italians, and had a voracious appetite for literature.

In his travels he met many interesting sorts of people, begrudging none of them due to circumstance but rather he judged them by their personalities. Those who knew him would have categorized him as kind-hearted and of possessing a need to please others. He was a very affectionate youth and never had any trouble finding companions for long nights on his families’ estate.

His parents, in turn, left him to his own devices. The only cared that he would be ready to rule should a time come that they would be forced to relinquish their rule. Khyrons parents bore another son when he was 17. A son by the name of Sean Orion Storm. He quickly grew to be a sharp, inquisitive young lad. He was smaller of frame and seemed fragile to most, but both Khyron and his parents loved him dearly and spent much time with him in the gardens and the grounds where he loved to play.

It was unfortunate however that such happiness would not last eternally. Both of Khyrons parents along with his brother were caught in a siege while in one of the neighboring kingdoms. None of his family survived. Though drowning in the deapths of despair Khyron was then thrust into the role of running the estate as well as those that his family governed.

After several years things had settled down again. The Storm holdings were stable. He cared greatly for those that he ruled, doing everything in his power to make their lives easier and more enjoyable. In turn his people loved him, and did everything they could to please him. His lands were prosperous and all of the surrounding kingdoms were on good terms with his.

In the second year of his kingdoms great prosperity Khyron fell in love with a young woman by the name of Alisha Fairwind. Though not herself of noble birth she had wealth to rival his own and was Khyrons equal in intelligence and kindness. Shortly thereafter they were wed and throughout the kingdom there was rejoicing. For a week afterwards there was celebration and he was paid visits by all the nobles of the neighboring kingdoms congratulating him on his good fortune.

Alisha, however, had held one thing about herself in the shadows. Fearing that if Khyron were to find out the truth about her he would love her no more. She was not human but in fact a rare breed of lycanthrope. When fully transformed she was a snow leopard. In a moment of truth she reviled this to Khyron, praying for mercy and that he would not have her killed for being a monster.

Khyron reacted not as Alisha had expected. He loved her so dearly that this deterred him not. And months later there came a point where he asked her to change him, drawing him closer to her in this way. For years they lived in prosperity and happiness, having all that they could have asked for in the small kingdom. But there came a point when they decided they wanted to know, together, what life was like elsewhere. So Khyron sold his holdings to a kind-hearted neighbor and together with Alisha they left.

They wandered their world happily for many years, never encountering others of their own or any other kind of non-human. And they were content with their existence as such. They lived off of the lands in which they traveled, sleeping under the stars and exploring far off places. Their love for each other knew no bounds and they cared not for what happened to normal humanity. But like all good things their happy existence would be shattered due to misguided faith and ignorance.

While traveling through Rome the two were seen for what they truly were by a group of seemingly back-alley type criminals. Khyron and Alisha fled into the countryside, using their unnatural speed and stealth to hide, knowing how easily they could outrun any human alive. But these men kept up with them. They reviled themselves to be werewolves, and decreed that as the two lycans had entered their territory uninvited they were to be put to death.

Khyron ordered Alisha to flee, taking the noble course and holding off all the attackers so that the one he loved would escape. What the werewolves had in strength Khyron had tenfold in agility, easily dodging the worst of the attackers blows. But in the end sheer number won out and the werewolves nearly killed him. He fled at the last possible moment into the dark countryside, using his speed and agility to outmaneuver his pursuers and getting away only after hours of running through a dense forest.

Khyron stayed hidden for days before venturing forth wounded and hungry. He searched for countless days trying to find his lost love, but to no avail. Eventually he left and tended his wounds, letting himself recuperate from what had happened to him and tried to reconcile his feelings of sorrow and guilt. After this he wandered aimlessly across the land for years on end, a ghost of his former self.

When the Spanish explorer discovered the “New Land” Khyron was not very interested. A land infested by uncivilized natives did not sound very alluring to him. But after several settlements had been established he decided that the small Spanish colony on the southern tip of the “New World” seemed like the perfect place to get his mind off of his past. So, using a small amount of the vast fortune he still owned he bought passage to this wild, untamed land and paid in full the price of a manor that overlooked the ocean.

In his new home he amassed a large library, from classics to new literature and lost himself in his reading. For many years he left his house only to by food. While he was inside he cared not which form he was in, being able to flip a books pages with either hands or paws effectively. He became up to date on cultural trends and practiced art and poetry. After 7 years of seclusion he decided it was time to re-enter society.

Buying himself a fine suit of the times he ventured forth seating himself in the center of the cities attention. He is seen as vulnerable by some, naïve by others and for what he truly is by those that are not human. A few that saw him as vulnerable made the mistake of trying to take advantage of him and rob his home. They found out relatively quickly that it had been a very sever mistake. Not being one of a very high tolerance to criminals he dispatched of them himself rather than get the local authorities involved.

Though he looked to be no older than his mid twenties Khyron was by now already several 337old. Not that he really kept track anymore. He learned that where he had decided to live was also the home of quite a few other non-human inhabitants. Though he should not have been surprised that there were others of even his own kind he was wary to search them out. To be completely honest he specifically went out of his way to avoid them.

And thus he has lived out the rest of his time in Miami, securing his manor and avoiding the others of his kind. He from time to time has been known to throw large parties at his residence inviting any that wish to come, even those that were not mortal. But he would make a point of only associating with mortals and keeping any “unwanted” behaviors of his out of the light of the public.

Writing Sample:
Khyron strode silently across the grounds of his manor, taking in the beauty of all that was around him. He smiled faintly, his white and black tail flicking agreeably behind him. Though he was in human form he preferred to have his tail present. Something about it made him feel more himself than when fully human.

Stepping silently into his manor he lounged peacefully in a large recliner that was placed in front of a large ornate stained glass window. He rested his head on the large stuffed arm rest rather where normally assumed proper. He gazed out the window watching the citizens that passed by his home with little interest.

*This is not my sort of day... I suppose that for now I will sleep. But tonight I shall roam the streets. Perhaps I will go to one of the large clubs that have been opening as of late. I have heard that it is quite an enjoyable experience.* He thinks to himself and then drifts peacefully to sleep.

And the rest:
Anything else? Wears a silver cross necklace and a matching silver ring on his right ring finger with inlaid symbols of gold and a perfectly cut sapphires in their centers. Both gifts from his mother when he hit majority. Wears it even though silver is a lycans weakness.

Did you read the rules? 'Oui, ma petite.'

I'm sorry, but there are a few discrepancies with the application that must be resolved before I can approve it.

1) I would like to see the strengths and weaknesses of this harater fleshed out more than a few simple words. Take a look at some of the other applications for an idea of how those character traits should be shown.

2) It would seem you are not familiar with lycans in the Anita Blake universe. Lycans here are not immortal. They have a bit of a longer lifespan than humans, aging slower than they do to a point. But, there is no way a lycan would still be alive today in this world if they were born 320 years after the death of Christ. Please edit the history to reflect this.

3) Even if this character had a MAJOR resistance to silver, wearing silver jewelry for an extended period of time would leave him with a rash that would not heal.

Please read the threads in the Important Information thread to familiarize yourself with the inner workings of this board's game universe. When the changes are made, please reply to this app and I will take another look at it.

Thanks!
