The idea had come across her before, to perhaps actually record something, or even look for a band to join, but she'd never really considered it properly until recently. Since escaping her father's family, she'd travelled around Ireland and then more of Europe, before finally deciding to come to the States, and during that time she'd been able to get by picking up gigs wherever she went. But since arriving here, Lilya had turned down a number of jobs offered because a rumour had spread that she was associated with a certain influencial vampire in town. It was simply a matter of pride, the tiger wanted to be recognised for her talent, not because of another person's influence, especially when it wasn't exactly welcomed.

Lilya shook herself of the mood that the thought always put her in and took a breath to calm herself and her tiger before opening the door to the Nightengale Studios and stepping inside the building silently. Immediately she was hit with the scent of a number of lycans who obviously regulated the place, the strongest scents being that of a leopard and a wolf, meaning the place was possibly run by them. She decided to take it as a good omen and relaxed a little more. Since moving in with Mia, she'd found the presence of other felines to be just slightly comforting.

Dressed for the warm weather, the small woman with the porcelain complexion was only wearing a denim miniskirt, a tanktop of a matching blue to her eyes, and a pair of blue strapped heels, and felt her exposed skin cool considerably as she stepped in and out of the sun,"Hello?" She spoke quietly inside, it was still, but that didn't mean there wasn't someone around somewhere. Lilya strolled around inside the building, sending her tiger ahead of her to investigate and perhaps pick up on another person. She consciously pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear, most of it was tied back, but a few ringlets managed to get free.

Walking past an open door, she noticed an empty studio and hesitantly glanced around before entering slowly to inspect the equipment. It looked as though the place was well maintained. She brushed her fingers lightly over a microphone as she hummed lightly to herself. She sighed lightly as she remembered she was supposed to be looking for someone else, but paused when her tiger picked up on the presence of someone approaching and she blushed as she realised that she probably shouldn't be in there touching the equipment. So quickly she turned and began to head toward the door.

Kyrian Stephens - April 20, 2008 09:31 PM (GMT)
"I'm telling you, Julian. Either turn up tomorrow for the meeting with Pasco and earn a good investment for us. Or don't, its not my fault the frigging vampires likes wolves and not leopards." The dark haired Irish leopard sighed as he listened to his brother snarl on the other end of the line. It was not his bloody fault that his crush had left town either but pulling Jules out of a slight depression and running the studios was taking all his time up.

Padding barefoot down on of the many hallways he growled when the line went dead, a flicker of worry went through him at the sound though. He did not want Julian doing something stupid while trying to come up with some new songs to impress one of the bands he was trying to impress. Sod that! Julian was the artist and he was the number cruncher and it was killing him. Dressed in a pair of black jeans ripped at the left knee and a baggy grey t-shirt, he reached up and unclipped the earpiece before slipping it into his hip pocket.

The scent of a cat had dragged him out of the office and away from his paper work that he had been putting off for days. It wasn’t a scent he recognized either, other then the fact it was a feline and female. Sighing, he followed his instincts and had to smile a little at the sight of one of the studios open. If his head hadn't been screwed onto his neck, he would have forgot to do some of the simplest things like shutting a door. The sound of footsteps stopped him dead as the air con blew the scent of the cat around him. His feet stayed still for a second before he slipped into the doorway, to peek at the cat inside, "Hello. Are you lost or something?"

Lilya realised she was going to be caught in the room, she only hoped it wasn't by some overly zealous type who was going to send her out without a second chance to explain why she was even there to begin with. She'd kinda just got caught up in all the fancy equipment and the daydreams of getting into 'the biz' properly. She really just wanted to make it so that she wouldn't be doing nothing all the time while she lived off her inheritance. She heard the footsteps get closer as she made her way toward the door, and recognised that the scent of leopard had grown stronger. She really hoped this wasn't going to turn into a full on confrontation, but then who could ever tell.

As she was about to escape the room, the owner of the scent slipped in front of the doorway. Busted. The first thing she'd noticed was the slight lilt in his accent that reminded her of a place she'd rather not think of. But once she got past that, she also noticed he was quite handsome really. Usually the idea of being near another feline, especially a male, would make her unhappy, but she'd grown used the scent of leopard while living with Mia, so she straightened and smiled bashfully as one hand reached up to play with her hair.

"Oh! Uh, sorry. I was looking around to see if I could find anyone. There was no one at the front when I came in." She tried to keep a lid on the lilt that wanted to slip out and mingle with her Australian accent, though the few years she'd spent in Ireland had rubbed off on her a little so it was hard to do. Realising her manners, she stepped forward and extended her hand, "Lilya, Lilya Dharnen. I'm a singer, and want to look at recording." Her tiger remained slightly wary, but for the most part seemed comfortable. Well, at least he seemed to be fairly non-threatening.

"Oh! Uh, sorry. I was looking around to see if I could find anyone. There was no one at the front when I came in."

Kyrian smiled and one shoulder lifted in a shrug, she was cute when she smiled and she had the faint scent of leopard on her already. Could have been on of the Pard for all he knew, could have been a boyfriend or something else, he just wasn't keeping track now a days. Well, the only person he talked to from the Pard was Quinn so that showed you exactly how restrained he was socially. The Stephens didn't want to tie themselves down with Pack or Pard really, just wanted to get their business up and running but would still fight for their respective groups if they had to.

Her accent was easily placed, the same for his own. He may have tried to blend in with the American crowd sometimes, but it wasn’t hard to miss the Irish lilt of his, nor the Australian twang of her own. It was a nice change, “Its ok, there was only…well, me hanging around for the day and I didn’t hear you come in from where I was.”

"Lilya, Lilya Dharnen. I'm a singer, and want to look at recording."

Taking her own hand in his for a brief moment he sighed, he was feeling rather pleased actually. Normally it was Julian that got all the attention and he was left in the office with the paper work. Figures that the one-day the wolf didn’t turn up that someone would come along asking about recording her music, “Kyrian. Kyrian Stephens, and it would be a pleasure to help you out…I have to ask though; you’re a cat, but what type? Me, well you can probably guess…”

A thread of relief coursed through Lilya when the leopard simply smiled and half-shrugged, he had a cute smile as well and the fact that she wasn't in trouble helped hers turn from something bashful to a more confident and brighter smile. There was no doubt he likely picked up the scent of leopard or pard on her, she and Mia spent a lot of time together which meant there was no escaping each other's scent. She nodded when he mentioned that there was only him there that day, hopefully he could help her out, otherwise she'd have to come back another time.

The sigh didn't escape her notice as he took her hand to shake, and a small warm feeling ran through her at the friendly contact. Lilya was always reserved around male lycanthropes, previous experience teaching her that it was difficult to trust anyone, but he seemed like a nice enough guy, and her beast seemed to agree as the female feline energy inspected the male subtley. She couldn't help but raise an amused eyebrow at the seemingly pleased man. "Its a pleasure to meet you Kyrian. And you have no idea how happy that makes me to hear that. I haven't exactly had the best run lately." She chuckled softly, then remembered she was still holding his hand and took hers back gently, trying not to look like the giddy kid she almost felt like. Finally, she was getting somewhere.

Then Kyrian asked her what type of cat she was and Lilya tilted her head slightly with another small smile as she pushed a strand of hair back behind her ear, "Well yeah, I can guess you're a leopard. I've spent some time around them while travelling, and my current flatmate is one as well." She shrugged lightly, "I'm a tiger who's kind of escaped a nasty situation or two in the past. Just trying to find some place to settle and get my life in order." Subconsciously, she began playing with one of her wrists without realising, though the bangles she wore at the moment covered her scars, it was still a nervous habit. She wasn't sure why she'd told the leopard that.

Glancing around, she changed the subject slightly, "I have to say, this is a nice setup you have. Must have taken some work to get it all done up."

Kyr never lost the slight smile that curled his lips but he saw the look in her eyes as she spoke. She was drifting on her thoughts and not really with him. He couldn’t fault her, there was some things that needed to be but behind you but sometimes the memories snapped up and bit you on the ass when you didn’t think they dogged your footsteps anymore. He knew from experience that could happen he reminded himself as he remained where he was. His eyes flicked to her fidgeting fingers before blinking slowly. He had no right to pry, he hadn’t known her for an hour yet and he knew she hit scars with the bracelet. He couldn’t do much about the faint marks around his throat, but he hid the scars down his arms with leather.

Deep down though he was slightly weary of the bigger cat. Call it natural instinct but damn if it didn’t break a fella’s ego into shards. He didn’t care if she was a bloody saber tooth, the leopard was naturally shy of anything that was bigger and meaner.

Glancing around, she changed the subject slightly, "I have to say, this is a nice setup you have. Must have taken some work to get it all done up."

He laughed lowly, “A lot o’ work yes. Com’mon I need coffee, and its no trouble fixing you one up as well if you need a drink. We can figure out the price then…. ” a shameless look crossed his face as he rubbed the back of his neck, “I’m the brother that deals with the numbers normally. I’ve just had a lapse in caffeine intake” he would kill Julian for leaving him with everything he thought to himself as he led her to the small private kitchen area.
