Picture:
Physical description: He is tall, about 6' and toned from physical activities. He usually wears jeans and t-shirts (good ol' country boy) with a pair of steel-toed boots. He will sometimes where a cowboy hat...but that's more to amuse other people as he prefers to have his hair loose. He has a tattoo of a Raven on his left shoulder blade gotten on a whim though more as a constant reminder of who he has become.
Likes: Working for what he wants, country music, men (which he prefers not to admit to), the ocean, flying in his shifted form.
Dislikes: Ignorance in either thought or personality, cruelty for cruelty's sake, judgmental people, zealots
Fears: Running into a Master Vampire who calls to him and is cruel and spiteful, his parents finding out that he's gay, losing the people he cares about, being hunted because he's a lycanthrope.
Nervous habits: The one he allows himself to show to the rest of the world is that he paces. In the privacy of his own home and to those who try hard enough to get to know him; he fidgets, plays with his sleeves and pants, and if the situation warrents, bites his fingernails.
Personality description: Raised on a farm, he believes that a job done by oneself is more rewarding then letting someone else do it. He is introverted and believes also that emotions are best left for private and can come off as a bit cold to others. Those who mistake his coldness for indifference would be mistaken as he cares very much about things but knows that there are those out there who would use that to their advantage. He hides his emtions behind a blank mask he'd perfected as a teenager.

History: From birth to now...at least 3 paragraphs.
He was born to parents who had been raised in the south all their lives. His father had done time in the military just like his father and was rather strict about what he could and couldn't do. As a child, he was taught to cry only in private, in fact, he was taught to be emotionless unless alone. Shown emotions made a person careless, weak. It made living under his roof hard but...Skyler learned well his father's lessons.
When he turned fifteen, he noticed how much girls did not attract him at all and learned how to hide that fact. His parents wouldn't understand nor accept him if he came out so he hid. He even dated a few girls just to make his parents happy though there was never any spark or passion. He did it to keep suspcions from arising. He couldn't stand the thought of disappointing them and breaking his mother's heart. He doubted he'd ever tell them.
It was in his sixteenth year and he was quite popular at school. However, he still had no interest in the females around him. It was even hard to pretend to like them and going on dates was a nightmare he would love to forget. One of the girls were so mad and in their adolescent rage went to a family member who specialized in a form of voodoo. Angry at being turned down by some "country hick" she begged and cajoled her aunt to curse him. The worst thing she could think of was to force him to become the one animal farmers hated most; a crow. The next full moon was a nightmare and it took him almost a month to learn what had happened. By then, the girl's ire had died but it was too late to stop what she had started. He had no choice but to accept it though his parents didn't take as easy to it as he did.
To appease his father over his "condition", he joined the football team his senior year. He hated football but his father seemed proud of him for it so he endured it. He even endured taking the head cheerleader to prom. It was becoming easier and easier to live the lie as he had yet to find someone who sparked any sort of interest from him...and for that he was eternally grateful. Through academic excellence, he received a scholarship to a nearby college and moved on campus to get away from home for awhile though his parents called him almost everyday to check and see how he was doing. By this time, he was proficient enough with this lycanthropy and trusted that part of him that life was easier on the fullmoon.
Trouble hit when some fellow classmates coaxed him into going to Miami, Florida for Spring Break. He'd tried to weedle his way out of it, but they were relentless. Now twenty-one, they said that it was time for him to enjoy being a legal adult; which meant getting as drunk as he possibly could. Skyler consented to go, only because they wouldn't shut up and if he didn't, they'd only manage to get into more trouble than they could handle. He packed and went thinking it would be over after the week was off and he returned home. It wasn't to be. When nightfell, he was restless and irritable. Something in the dark beckoned him like a siren's song and he had trouble sleeping.
When the week finally ended and they returned home, he hoped that whatever plagued him would stop, it didn't. It actually got worse until it was all he could think about. Finally, he had had enough and against his parents' wishes and better judgment, he transferred to Miami in hopes that he would find whatever it was that was calling to him.
Writing Sample: He'd returned again. It was almost laughable; the notion of coming back here. It was Spring Break...and he hadn't meant to come down to Miami at all but he'd been goaded into it and had decided that he'd act like a normal college Freshman. He'd come down expecting to be annoyed with his classmates' inability to act like actual human beings. He wasn't far off, however, beyond his disgust with their behavior, there was something else. Something that called to the bird in him. Something enticing and terrifying at the same time. He hadn't been able to sleep when he'd returned to Tennessee and it finally annoyed him so badly that he couldn't focus on his college education. He finally transfered to a college in Miami and returned hoping to find what it was that beckoned him and yet made him want to run as fast as he could in the opposite direction.
Leaning against the balcony of his apartment, he looked into the distance. Someone was calling, that he was certain of and that meant only one thing...it was a vampire. Now all that was left to determine was who they were and what their intentions were. It was a dangerous gamble but his beast would be restless until he figured out who it was. He turned for a moment as if going inside before suddenly moving and leaping from it. It was the second story so he landed without much problem on the sand. Straightening himself up, he headed out to find whatever awaited him.
And the rest:Anything else? Not that I can think of.
