"Not one of your smartest ideas." the voice in his head sang, this time shockingly it wasn't his wolf, no this time it was his own stupid mind berating him on his 'plan of action'. "You should of just stayed at the hotel a little longer, waited until Kelsi could make the arrangements but no, you gotta get all antsy and change the plans around." he began to slump in the back of the taxi, its driver glancing back at him several dozen times making sure he wasn't about to throw up on the leather seat.

He was strangely glad to arrive at his destination, and so was the cabby, Jace paid him off quickly and felt abit overwhelmed when he sped away. Coming in to back up on a situation he knew nothing about really, was beginning to eat him up, but not doing anything, and waiting for something to happen was eating him up just the say, and whats a man to do but rush head first into a pack den full of people or in this case, were-people, who never really were to fond of you in the first place.

"He was brave, or he was stupid. Yep thats what my tombstone will read." he gave a heaving sigh and walked up to the Putelanus Luna House, a place he had only been in half a dozen times, but each one of those time gave him insight to his 'condition' and led him down a newer better path in his life, this made this place something sacred to him, like a church filled with furry people who bench press trucks for fun.

Standing up to the door he knew he didn't really need to knock, the few times he did knock the leader of his pack had sensed him a mile off and opened the minute his knuckles touched wood, so this time he merely held his breath and gave the smallest little burst of pent up energy, trying his best to make it seem non hostile, but he had the tendency to fill that energy with unrequited lust which was never flattering.

He burried his hands into his jeans and waited for a response, each passing second seeming to make this more and more a bad idea.

Adelphus Beckett - March 20, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Sat in the den with his back to the fireplace on the floor, his legs crossed, Adelphus smiled at the young male infront of him and nodded as the new wolf pushed back the amber of his eyes back to the blue of his human eyes for the third time in a row. David had been making progress, the full moon just passed having been just his second, and was learning quickly to better control himself with Adelphus' ministrations. It was a source of much joy to Adelphus to see his Pack do well and continue to grow, and all of the faltering moments seemed to be but fleeting. Though he never reminisced on the bad times unless it had to be done.

The energy that slowly increased at the edge of his senses however drew his mind back to such hiccups within the Pack and he arched a black eyebrow in curiosity. David, being new, could not sense the approaching energy of Jace, but Adelphus watched his face as the lust-tinged power came to a stop outside the door and it affected the young man's wolf, making David squirm and his breathing increase.

With an inner growl, Adelphus brushed a hand through David's hair to comfort him with his touch then went towards the door with an 'excuse me a moment David, can you please go upstairs for now?'; opening the heavy oak door in a motion that made the door rattle slightly. Adelphus was not frustrated with the sight of Jace for some reason, but more that David had been doing well and had then had to put up with another wolf coming close and affecting his own.

Staring at Jace stood before him, the image of outer calm and his energy calm but there , Adelphus reguarded the way in which Jace stood and looked nervous, tasting his energy as his wolf stared at the other male.

"Jace, what brings you back here?"

JaceDeitor - March 21, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
Jace had the sudden urge to either reach out and shake his old pack masters hand, or leap forward and hug him tight like some missing father figure he didn't know he cared about. Both seemed rather out of place at this moment, but needing to do something with his hands, he ran them down his face once or twice, trying to shake off the feelings of un-welcomeness and pure self loathing of it all. His words did not come as fast as he planned, they never really did around Adelphus, Jace had seen and been on the end of the pack leaders aggression and no one likes to look the bull in the eye and say "Your what's for dinner."

"I was hoping that you and I could talk, in private. I know that's kind of alot to ask and you don't really owe me anything but I would appreciate an hour or so of your time, there are some things I need to ask you, and reasons that I need to give to appease my own guilt for leaving without a word." he paused and let the silence gather before nervously glancing past the slightly shorter man, "I was interrupting wasn't I? Sorry for that, I didn't really know...."

This was the part in the story where he expected the door to be slammed in his face, with piles of laughter being heard from behind it. he was firmly ready for this to come, his body was straight, his pride on his sleeve, hopes and dreams bullseyed in the middle of his forehead. What could possibly go wrong?

Adelphus Beckett - April 11, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
Adelphus could sense Jace's agitation and nerves, and it was that alone that stopped him from stepping out of the house and taking Jace out of David's ear shot before teaching him a true lesson in what it was to be Pack and betray your family. Adelphus had long ago sworn he would never use violence without good reason, and to him the betrayal of the Pack's trust and friendship was a perfectly acceptable reason. When he said he'd kill and die for the Pack without hesitation, he meant it.

Watching cooly as Jace gathered his thoughts and spoke, Adelphus crossed his arms infront of his chest and listened without saying a word. It had cost Jace pride to ask him for such, and he felt as a previous Pack member Jace at least deserved to be heard.

Stepping aside and motioning for Jace to enter the house, Adelphus gave no outward show of his thoughts or emotions towards Jace at that moment and instead spoke neutrally.

"Come in."

JaceDeitor - April 29, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
Jace gave a mock duck for protection, glancing past his pack leader into the open room. "You alone, or should I expect to be dog piled when I walk in, and now in the good way mind you, cause I have to tell you boss, Im pretty fond of my throat being attached to my neck." while this was a playful way to put it, it was a serious question, Jace knew just how much trouble he was in, and just how bad it looked that he up and left without a word to anyone. Running his hand nervously over his neck a few times he stepped into the familiar house, his nostrils flaring, drinking in the nearby scents. There were a few old lingering ones he knew, and a few new ones he didn't and at this point he had no idea what to expect.

He was scrutinizing everything, trying to get a feel for the situation and how to best adapt to it, any ending to this story that didn't end in Adelphus gutting him was one he wanted to lean toward completely.

"Pack house looks good boss." he gave another clean drag of the air. "I don't suppose we can do this privately, as apposed to everyone standing in a circle around me saying burn the traitor?"
