right now i'm growing out 3 baby bns in a 5.5 gal; can't wait until the are big enough to join the mbuna tank.

Great close ups, Aura!
See, I told you that you can take great pics!
I have had 3 BN's and all 3 were killed by my Mbuna's!
I gave up trying to keep them with those crazy malicious fish!
Be very careful Yodahorn when adding them with your Mbunas
unless they are Acei's or Labs!

That's too bad preacherboy; they really do a great job on that algae. My mbuna killed every common pleco that I tried to add, but the bristlenose have done okay in most of my tanks.
Derek, I once had a very large common pleco die when we were on a camping trip and stink doesn't even begin to describe the smell! Faint I ended up draining and cleaning everything in the tank.

Great pics, Aura...
From the title, I was expecting one of those pics like I took of one of ours years ago when I came home and found her sleeping beside a rock on her side, not attached to anything!
I have so many of them that I can't even count them. We have several in each tank, most our own from our breeding escapades!

Kim, I really wish mine would breed. I only have one female - a tiny little albino (the last picture). She's missing her two anal fins - I don't know if that would affect any offspring, but the albino male doesn't appear to be interested in her anyway.
They are still small, so I hope they will eventually decide to reproduce. I remember your ordeal when yours started spawning and will try not to throw away eggs if mine ever do the same. Nanananaa

Didn't we do that twice??? And I still have juvies from those clutches, in spite of my attempts to get rid of those "fungused" eggs... Giggly
I believe ours were about 3 - 3 1/2 inches before they spawned. Seems like we had them for a very long time. The female was quite "obese" when we introduced them, and they spawned immediately.
Good luck, and just remember that if they ever do spawn, don't suck up stray "eggs" and don't try to keep the water as clean as you normally do!
