Title: Here's our little guy...
Description: EBJD

I'm pretty sure it's a boy! Pointy fins as opposed to rounded, right?
We picked him up this morning. He was bigger than I thought he would be, a little over an inch.
He's in my 10G tank that sits by my pc for now, just to make it easier to keep up with him.
A friend gave him to me because he was the runt of the bunch, and a very finicky eater, would only eat blood worms and nothing else. He had fasted him yesterday because he knew he'd be traveling today, so as soon as I released him in his new home he started scarfing down the plant particles floating in the water. I normally wait a while to feed new fish, but this little guy was starving, so I offered him a tiny amount of flake and he greedily ate it up!

He's a cutie! Very friendly and interactive with whatever is going on outside the tank. I'd like to pick up another one or two later, once he grows a bit.
Scott, what do you feed yours?

very purdy lil guy. Gives me fond memories of my EBJD who went blind after a bout with ich. He now resides @ my friends house. Nothing and I mean nothing bothers him, guess you cant be bothered by what you cant see.
How big is he? looks very small. how long have you had him for?

WoW !!!! he looks great, Kim
From what I understand, the pointy fins are not an adequate detector. It seems there are 2 versions of EBJD. one from south america(argenitina) and one from Asia. The Asian EBJD fins are longer and more pointy.
the good new with EBJD's is that females look just as good, if not better (females can show more blue) than males. So either way you can't go wrong.
I feed mine....
NLS
Tetra ColorBits
Krill
Bloodworms
Fresh shrimp
(really, they will eat anything I put in their tank)
Good luck with the little guy.
If you need more when you get to kentucky, I may have a couple to spare. Good Job

He's really a little charmer...Very active and constantly wanting attention!
He's so tiny, we're trying to feed him very small amounts but more often than we normally would, just to give him a boost. The person that gave him to me was shocked that he was eating so well, since he'd been a "problem child" since the day he got him.
We're going to get a 25G ready to move him to in a few weeks, once he settles in well. We'll just upgrade him until he reaches maximum growth, but he's so tiny it is pointless to put him in a large tank right now, and I want to keep him alone until he gets some size to him.
Are they diggers, Scott?
I'm trying to decide whether to go with sand or the fine gravel that I prefer for planted tanks.
I hate keeping him all alone, but ultimately want to add more EBJD's...Any suggestions on something I could put in with him to keep him company??? Dithers?

A guy from TO gave him to me, Brad. He is a member on CF and his username is Macfish. If you don't want to contact him through there, let me know and I'll see if he minds if I give you his phone number! Really nice guy to deal with, and I don't think he has any for sale, but I know that he can point you in the right direction.
