Title: hand feeding eels

I discovered a new food that my elipsifer eels will eat, freeze dried tubifex worms. The little eel was the first to take to the tubifex. After a couple days of watching the little one eat tubifex, the big one decided to try it too. I had both eels swimming into my hand and pulling on the tubifex between my fingers. It was pretty cool. The julie took the occasional bite of worms also, and the petricola cats were quite comfortable hand feeding too. I'll have to take some video.

I feed the eels mostly frozen mysis, some frozen bloodworms, and now occasional tubifex. I was wondering what the nutritional value of freezedried tubifex worms is? Should it be more of an occasional treat?

It is my understanding that freeze-dried tubifex worms
have no nutritional value from something I read a long time ago.

But I'm sure someone from here will enlighten me soon.

I'd like to see some pics of these eels or a video of you hand
feeding them.

I'm going to take some video over the weekend when I'm home during the day....the lighting will be better than in the evening. I think they're my favorite fish at the moment.
