Boy you can sure see the Protomelas in the female... she's so similar to a Red Empress.

I have a TERRIBLE time telling who's who between female Haps.

How many tanks do you have running? Must be hard keeping all these breeding groups separated!

This group of 2:2 is now moved to their own 90g. The males are about 8" and females 6". I had 2 extra females for them when they were in their 125g tank but the were killed by my emporer.
Heres the deal, I hasd these with my emporer cichlid (B. Microlepsis) in the 125g, well the emp is now 8" and very very aggressive. Until i moved him to his own vaccant 90g, he was killing one 6-8" malawi hap per day. They are the most aggressive species i have kept from lake tanganyika. So right now he is in the dog house lol.

My fishroom is 4 90g, 8 75g, 3 125g, 1 65g, 4 38g, 2 45g, 2 25g, 6 15g, 1 220g show tank, andd were adding another 220g this fall. Plus i have my Alligator 75g tank.

all are in my fishroom except for the 75g alligator (Becuase of the huge foot print it takes up to much space in the fishroom as it is custom) and my 220g show tank which is in my bed room
