Title: Starting a new tank

Joelio - August 22, 2007 11:08 AM (GMT)
I am really excited. This weekend I bought 6 wild caught spotted silver dollars from my LFS. They are stunning fish. I also picked up a GT. However, to my unpleasant surprise, he jumped out of the tank in less than a day :(. So now I am without a cichlid in my tank. I plan to get another GT and an oscar for my tank. It will be a nice mix, I think, and I can finally have my puppy-dog-like fish that I always wanted. Cloud 9

The oscar is amazing! He's a red tiger oscar, with gorgeous markings. I think I also have a female GT.

The oscar is named Dawkins, and the GT is named Tae.

Now the other newbies to the tank are amazing as well. Has anyone actually seen spotted silver dollars? They are a sight. I will get pictures soon.

Cheers,

Joel

Very cool Joel, I know you will love the green terror. They are one of my favorite SAs

Joel, maybe you're confusing your fish if you're calling them puppy dogs! Maybe that's why your GT jumped out of the tank...He thought he was more suited for land!

We're anxiously awaiting pics!
