Title: good tangs to mix with saulosi

I have a group of 8 saulosi in a 55 gallon. That number will probably decrease as it seems that I have 5 males coloring up. What would be a good tang to mix with them, if there is?

Tangs shouldn't be mixed with Mbuna considering their different water requirements. There are a lot of Mbuna out there that would mix well with Saulosi and that would give you a wide variety of colors.

I normally wouldn't recommend it, but I've seen people do it. My malawis and tangs have the EXACT same water parameters. You could try some lelupi or julies...you would want something that wouldn't compete for spawning sites or was too finicky!

I ended up getting 8 Pseudotropheus Acei sp. Tanzania Black to mix with the saulosi.

I have 6 Acei as well in my 75 gallon
mixed Mbuna tank.
They are pretty peaceful, but they can be a
little aggressive towards each other at times.

I have 5 Acei, and I can echo PB that generally they're pretty mellow with everyone.

How many fish u keep in total in the 75 g PB? cuz I know for a fact im understocking my tanks..only got 35 in my 140....lol the 75 that was just set up houses 20

Rob, I have 26 Mbuna in my 75 gal.!
I have several pairs, but mostly singles of a species for now!
I have had several spawnings, but since I don't have a spare tank
right now, I have to let them spit.
I recently had a spawn of Lab. trewassee Red Top!
Man, I wish I had more tanks and more room.
I think I'm coming down with the dreaded disease known as,
