Nice fish and pics, Brad!

Fish don't always have to be the prettiest
fish in order for us to enjoy them.

Their individual personalities and actions
are often worth the effort! the Clap

your right. "They're so ugly they're Cute!" lol. They are very reclusive when you approach the tank fast and imediatly back their bodies into the cracks i the rocks and simply poke their head out. The male has some big teath too, i am trying to get a shot of an open mouth, you'd be surprised on how scary this little fish is. He stands up well to the 7" petrochromis male lol. you should see it. He opens his mouth, and puffs his gills out like a fan and all the fish in the tank back off. even though they are pretty pieceful, they can definetly hold their own!

I really like them. B)

I don't think they are ugly at all! The markings are pretty and they make a cute couple.

Standing up to a 7 inch fish is pretty bold. How big are they?

male is only 5-6", but he will aparantly grow to atrleast 12. I wouldn't call them pretty, but definetly a unique fish with odd habits and good personality. Kinda like tropheus On the Floor Laughing Giggly On the Floor Laughing

Five - six inches!

I had the impression they were much smaller. Maybe it's the big eyes. I still think they're pretty fish. :D

I thought they were little guys, too!

Very interesting looking fish, Brad!

So this is the adult colouration they will maintain???

Congratulations Brad the Clap the Clap the Clap

It appears that you are turning into a real cichlid keeper. I love the whole Lepidiolamprologus group. There are some awesome species in that group and the lemarii are surely one of them.

Great pick-up. Good Job Good Job

I also really like their look, both coloration and silhouette.

And I also thought they were like 2"-3" from the photos -- those rocks are bigger than I thought!

Nice acquisition!
