Most of you know that I WAS a huge Calvus/Comp geek. But things have happened and now I have none. I only have 1 tank set up, a 29 gal. with just 4 Peacocks in it. (NgaraFlametail,Baenchi,Ruby Red,& an Albino something). I am thinking of getting rid of them for some nice adult Calvus or hard to find Comps in my area. I have had just about all the Calvus and quite a few Comps. We once had some "dealers" on the "other" forum that promised fish for alot of the members with no results.

I didnt see a thread for Calvus/Comps, so I thought I would start one. If you have any pic to share,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,chop-chop. Post 'em up. Drooly

Calvus and Comps are really cool fish!I could get you a crap load of them as my buddy has tank loads of them but the problem is you live in the States and getting stuff over the border to you guys is impossible(or a DOA)

This is my first post here on CH and it*s very special to me because I will tell you a little secret : The 100 % Malawian Crys is gone :D Now, since 1st july, Crys is a proud owner of a Tanganikan group. Four juvies Altolamprologus compressiceps Yellow, a very rare occassion to find in the romanian fishmarket..I couldn*t resist not to buy them....So, I did it!!! Bouncy
It*s my first step in the Tanganikan world! I*m not fully prepared for that but ...with your *profy tang *help , I hope I will manage this situation

You know I love the Altos too! My WC comps just gave me a great spawn! Over 120 fry initially -- now down to about 90. Great fish!!!

I had missed this topic before because I'm a Malawi guy

Then I take a look at the gorgeous shots of Derek's Comps and then I see that my brother-in-Malawi Crys is posting pictures of TANGS!!!!! Faint

My first thought is that Klaus has taken Lufthansa from Toronto through Frankfurt to Bucharest in order to perform a Malawi exorcism on Crys and bring him over to Tangs. But then I realize that if this had happened Crys would be keeping Tropheus. So Klaus has to be innocent. idunno

My fellow Malawians, I think we're going to have to band together to stop Crys' fall before it gets worse! ohhh please ohh please

not in ct, but there is a guy that goes by Littleafricaaquatics on aquabid that always has wc fish including comps and calvuses. he is in louisville, ky, so I am not sure how much shipping would be.

Yeah, I just checked the last few posts in the trader section for that club there in CT. Did not see any.
