Title: Updated tank pics

PoohBear - September 7, 2008 11:22 PM (GMT)
Here's a few updated pictures. The blue-green cyanobacteria has been conquered at last!!! The butterfly half moon betta was added last weekend. This is the mellowest angel I have ever owned...doesn't bother the betta a bit, and the betta doesn't bother the other fish either.

Very, very nice Drooly

There's something about a planted tank that just draws me in. The reddish/copper leaved plant - is that a crypt of sorts?

PoohBear - September 8, 2008 03:42 AM (GMT)
Yes, not sure what kind of crypt though. It was a lucky find at the lfs.

It looks really nice. I like the plants with the dark substrate in the tank.

Do you still have the plecos in there?

Cichlidman - September 8, 2008 11:58 PM (GMT)
I like this one myself. The plants and substrate are stunning for an American tank.
I want some black angels.

poohbear, this tank has improved so much over time. I also have a betta in my angel tank and he get along fine with the angles.

PoohBear - September 9, 2008 05:55 AM (GMT)
Thanks, everyone. Aura- Yes, I still have the plecos in there, although the 3 beacon hasn't made an appearance in awhile. The other 2 plecos come out in the evening.

Beautiful tank, Poohbear!

I really like the driftwood and plants and I
especially like the dark substrate.

It really sets off the plants and fish!

BTW, what kind of black substrate do you have?

PoohBear - September 9, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
pb- It's 3M Colorquartz. It's inert, and used for pools and spas.
