Title: Going on vacation....lights on or off
ADS - July 29, 2008 03:30 PM (GMT)
Since i dont have a light timer yet and cant get one in time before our trip to pei for 5 days should i leave the lights on my tanks on or off. Would it be better to leave the lights on the tank off and the lights in the room on or just leave the tank lights on.
Let me know what u think

Actually, it's probably better to just have all the lights off.

I agree with Lisa.
There's probably enough light coming in from outside the house
to light the tank.
Enjoy your vacation and bring back some pics!

I usually turn off my timers when I will be away for more than a few days.
If its in the winter time I usually turn the temp down in the room a degree or two along with the lights. Figure less activity means less aggression.
Just me though.

Guys and girls thanks for the advice. I wanted to check and see what other people do when they leave. i definatly should enjoy my time out there even though i dont know a single person who is going to be at this wedding except my gf (maid of honour) so it should be interesting

We rented "Wedding Crashers" the other night so watch out for
those guys!
Have fun!
