Heres the storry on him, 2 years ago i bred and sold 1" fry to david (ABYSS) for next to nothing, I go and see them 8 monthes after that and i tryed to by one of the males back lol... took me until 3 weeks ago for him to finally give up his sub dominent male lol!! The sub male which is now mine is the nicest i have ever personally seen!

my favorite is probably the fossorochromis Rostratus male, just becuase it is probably my favorite Hap, he towers over the rest of the fish in size, and he cost me the most lol. He's the biggest I have ever seen, I just got him friday, i was the dominent male in Mike (finatics) 12 foot tank.

Looks great, but then, I already told you that on CF! Tres Bien!
I have to ask, though...Why the 3 females in the tank?
Kim
bradley - June 2, 2008 07:22 PM (GMT)
well i just got the 3 fossos last week, one of the girls was small enough to breed with my colony but the one in the show tank is huge... 10-11", and also, male fossorochromis will not colour up without girls, not making it ideal to the all male tank... the firefish girl, just becuase had her kickin around from my old colony which i sold off and missed her, so i figured it would make my male display... so why not, and the spilonatus female becuase i wasnt gonna split the pair up and also that male wont show nice colour without girls aswell.

I just thought it must be awfully stressful for those few females, so I wondered why you had them in there. I'd watch closely for any signs of stress related illness. I've seen all male tanks blow up on people for this very reason.
You've got some really nice males there, I'd hate to see you lose any of them! Tres Bien!
