Hello, new to the forum here, although I lurk on quit a few others. Just wanted to see if anyone here keeps fish from the genus Crenicichla? They are what got me into the hobby. I used to keep a few different species, but now I only keep two species. Cr. proteus and Cr. regani "Orinoco". Beautiful fish with a great personality. So, anybody else fancy pike cichlids? I will post some pics up soon of the ones I have had(from regani to cincta).

Hi KKT

I personally have never kept them but I know Eric (Fishtrix) has and they grow unbelievably fast.Their predatory instincts are unreal to watch.Cant wait to see the pictures

KKT, I love the just about any big bruiser with lots of teeth. I have had a few pikes down through the years...but I dont have any right now. I had a pair of super red tefes back before I even knew what digital photography was. I had a couple of spawns out of the pair before I lose them to a feeder fish accident. I would love to see some pics.
