I finally broke down and bought a Copadichromis sp. "Mloto Undu" at a LFS. I hope he will grow soon. Anyone else have one? Share your pics, your thoughts.

I don't have one either, so will have to follow the progress of yours. Keep us updated with pictures. Now this should be good!

MD, cool purchase...these guys look pretty awsome as they color out. I had a trio a few years ago, and loved them. Good luck and keep us informed.

I love the Copadichromis Mlotos, very peaceful little haps!

I don't have any right now, but I would have to say my favourite is the "Midnight Mloto".

Did you get any girls for him?

Kim

I am not sure what one that is, I had some that were sold as Cop. Azureus Mloto Undu, but there is nothing Mloto Undu too, which is what you have probably. My Azureus was a lot like the Mloto Flourecent w/ white blaze and blue/green face and blue body.

I have wanted one for a while. I am glad I found him. He was showing color in the store, but being that his tank mates are a little larger it is not showing as well. I am hoping he will be show stopper!!!!!!!!!!

He is doing well, I lost a tank mate to bloat. I lost three fish from bloat in three different tanks from it. I guess that will teach me to go out of town.

Sorry to hear about the bloat. I hope you can get that under control and it doesn't spread any further.

Hey Mike, sorry to hear about your losses!

What happened when you when out of town to cause your bloat problem?

Did you have someone else feed your fish while you were away?

Have you treated the three tanks since these incidents?

mike dunagan - May 29, 2008 03:51 PM (GMT)
I did a water change on the tanks. I am not sure what caused it. Most likely just stressed out. I did not feed them while I was gone. It is all good now. It is the first case of bloat I have had in a long time.

It is under control now.

I hate that disease! Grrrr

I have a group of Mloto's. 3 males and 3 females. Males are about 5 inches or so. They are F1 Midnight Mloto's.

Males look pretty nice, females...well... blech!

Good luck with yours, and post some more pics as it colors
