my fronts, morrii's and comps are on 1mm new life spectrum cichlid, when do I change it to a larger pellets, it seems that most of the small pellets ends up at the bollow of the tank due to the size. The fish are about 3-4 inches in size except the comps are aboutr 1.5 inch. Please advise and thank you
You could mix different sizes, a pinch of each. What I used to do was put the bigger pellets in first then put the smaller ones in so the little guys get some.
good idea, but do you think that 1mm is too small for my fronts??
Chelsie, I have fish up to 5+ inches eating the 1mm pellets, but they are all Malawi cichlids.
I know nothing about fronts, but I have heard a little about them and a condition called "float". I'm not sure if that has anything to do with swallowing air, pellet size, or eating from the surface, but it might be something to look into, if you haven't already.
I think "float is when they swollow air" not sure. the pellets are "sinking pellets" so it should be o.k. but they still go to the top to get them.......Hope it's o.k. not much I can do. I told them not too, but they do not listen On the Floor Laughing
thanks
