I'm sure the fish will be okay and yes we've probably all skipped a water change now and then. When I was your age, I probably did one small water change a month. I just had guppies and swordtails...that sort of fish.

Now get off your lazy rear end and do your water change! fishy

So true,,,,WE all have forgotten or have been to lazy at one point or another. UNLESS of course,,,your the purist of all purists. Your fish would be fine.

Multies,,,you know it would also depend on how many fish and tank size as to how many times you can "miss" a water change.

For example,,right now I only have ONE fish in a 29 gallon tank (adult GH Comp.) because I CANNOT find any others around my area. dumb dumb
So I only do a water change once a month. (if I remember). idunno

AP.

OOOOPS SORRY,,,,I also have a trio of ABP's in the tank as well. Tres Bien!

Sometimes I get too busy with life and honestly, there are times
when I just can't seem to motivate myself to do a w/c!

Just do a little larger than usual water change and you should be fine.

Anybody else who can admit to being a little lazy now and then?

You have performed your penance now go forth and have fun!

Psst don't forget the water change

Hi! I've been guilty too! In fact I should've done a water change on Friday night but I'm letting it go till Monday night.

I'll be doing one today 2 weeks late. Usually every Sat. I change out about 25% of my water and vacuum up the excess poop/food. My 4 yr old enjoy holding the vacuum hose in the bucket, so it does not spill on the carpet.

thanks all, seems ill be missing today as well!
i have an art assignment(portrait) due tomorrow and being sean, i just left it till the last day. i have to finish it now and then ill have no time left for the fish :(
and tomorrow, i have to study for my art history test and on tuesday is my science presentation which i have to get ready for. on top of which i have a play to do for english.. so maybe on wednesday ill be free.. i also picked up 2 new fish Tres Bien! but i shouldnt be buying, i should be cleaning! Man once you skip it, you'll want to do it again!

lol i havent cleaned my tanks or done water changes in good 2+ weeks now. not becuase im particullarly lazy, its just i hate doing water changes at this time of year with the spikes in the water, i seem to lose a few prscous fish each time. Im holding off for as long as possible i guess...

Brad,

WE see crazy spikes in the ph up here in sudbury because of the melting snow and also because of all the rock around us.

Best advuce here is lots of baking soda and declorinator and salt and they seem to handle the water changes without any issue Bouncy
