I just received a notice from my town's water department that they will be swapping from chlorine to chloramine in a month.

Is there any special precaution I should take as they swap over their treatment. I already use Prime. The product claims to detox levels of 1.2 mg/l of choloramine. I'm considering double dosing for a while because I don't trust the water department.

Any one ever gone thru this?

Yeah Dave I would double dose for a while. They will be playing with the different amounts in the water to see what works for your area.

At least they warned you!

You should be fine using the recommended dosage of the Prime, but you won't hurt anything by overdosing it, either.

Alot of dechlorinators don't work for both chlorine and chloramines. The people using those are the ones who will pay the price.
