Title: New additions from the GCCA swap

Man it was a great event this weekend, 3 rooms worth full of people and fish. A bit crowding at times, but a great time none the less. I ended up getting two bags of F1 Aulonocara Maylandi youngsters and 3 bags of Fossichromis Rosterus. I knew the guy with the Rosterus, bought two bags and he threw in the extra for free. 12 or 15 Rosterus, I can't remember if there were 4 or 5 per bag and 10 of the Maylandi. $15 per bag on both species, not too bad IMO. I saw a 2.5-3"ish Maylandi from the same guy that had some nice colors so I know they are a good strain.

Good deal, Orbital! I wish there were more cichlid keepers in my area.

Preacherboy, I believe the GCCA is in the Chicago area, isn't it?

preacherboy - March 3, 2008 03:07 PM (GMT)
Sorry Orbital and Aura, it is in Chicago!

Some preachers are just dumb!

yep that was from in Chicago, a bit of a drive but always worth it. They are babies, so unless you like silver/grey fish not much point in posting images yet. The person that I got the Rosterus from had a picture of Javier, his breeder male on the bag. Quite stunning fish, and looks 100% show stopper quality. So far they have settled in fine, but will be needing to be moved soon to a bigger tank.

Chad, are you home for good now?

Chad, are you home for good now?

Good question, I don't know yet. If I am here after this summer yet, most likely I will be around for awhile longer.

Chad, we all appreciate you being in the service since we all benefit from the sacrifices you make. Regardless iof what we think of the politicians, you guys are heroes in my book and we owe you our eternal appreciation.

While I'm at it, we also appreciate the Canadian family members of people at CH who volunteer. My family is largely refugees from various European wars and we're scattered all across the US and Canada (and Australia, and...).

the Clap the Clap the Clap
