Title: Yellow Lab maybe holding
geelite - February 25, 2008 06:55 PM (GMT)
I think one of my Yellow Labs is holding. Its mouth looks like its got something inside it and when i tried feeding she goes after the food but does not actually eat it. She is just over 2 inches, is this possible? :Help!:
Aura - February 25, 2008 09:09 PM (GMT)
Yes, it is possible. Good Job I have one about that size holding right now too.
Kim - February 25, 2008 09:11 PM (GMT)
Sure sounds like she's holding, geelite! Congratulations!
Don't be discouraged if she doesn't hold to term this first time! Sometimes it takes a couple of practice rounds to get it right! Many of my best moms have been my smallest moms, though!

Cool, thanx for the info ladies. I am excited and worried at the same time worry wart! Bouncy ...and yes i do remember you mentioning that about the first timers somewhere on CH Kim.
Congrats to you too Aura.
I think its something to do with the Eclipse that so many of our fish here on CH are getting h*rny and breeding blinky
Aura - February 25, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
Maybe it was the eclipse. I also have three demasoni holding and a red empress as well. Hmmmm
This morning when I turned on the light to my saulosi tank, I saw a bunch of eggs falling to the bottom. I guess somebody wanted breakfast more than she wanted to hold those eggs.
That's fine with me though. I don't want any more fry - I am out of room.
Good luck with yours, geelite. I hope she will hold for you. Like Kim said, those little moms can do a fine job.

Congrats Geelite!
It must be the eclipse I've got a ps. elongatus chaloisi holding for the first time also.

Hell yeah,,,now thats a mouthful.
Do you have a fry tank,,or you letting her spit in that one.
geelite - February 27, 2008 11:29 AM (GMT)
I have a 55G behind the main tank, its housing a very mean crazy fish in there who has been cycling my tank. Dont know what its called, i caught it from this swamp place near my house. These guys even stay alive in a reef tank.
I have had plans to connect my 55 to my main tank, but i cant do that until i get my shipment from the US and UK.
