the plants look great and it seems that the geophagus are leaving them alone. will look awesome as the background fills in. like the angel geophagus combo.

Very nice Adam! Is that a 55g ?? Your plants look great are you running CO2? What type of lighting do you have? Sorry for all the questions, I just find it interesting to see what works for others!

Adam Robinson - February 18, 2008 09:23 PM (GMT)
I use a standard aquaglow light.......in terms of co2 i run a 1l bottle diy setup but for very short periods of time.....i'll run the co2 for a week and then remove it.....and thats only one week a month at most i know others will say why but its always worked for em strange but for em it works. and for fertilizer a squirt of flourish now and then a couple times a week. filtration is provided by one powerhead, one aquaclear 100 and a aqualclear 30 and a marineland cnaister filter.

Nice fish and tank, Adam!

How do the angels and geophagus get along? Any problems?

Adam Robinson - February 19, 2008 02:07 AM (GMT)
no problems at all they get along great and they actually provide a nice contrast with the geopahgus swimming at the bottom and the angels darting around in the plants

yodahorn - February 19, 2008 01:16 PM (GMT)
how many of each fish do you have? any problems with the sand and the filters? do you have anything other substrate underneath the sand for the plants to grow in?

Adam Robinson - February 19, 2008 03:32 PM (GMT)
Problems with the sand in filters of course......As far as a stock list goes.

3- GEophagus baha reds 1m/2f
2- geophagus japuri 1m/1f
6- gold diamond pearl scale angels
5- leopard angels, (soon to be sold)
5- all black angels (soon to be sold)
2 pictus cats,
1- bala shark saved from my gf's tank
3- albino ancestrous
2- loachs no idea what they are again saved them

Now you see the need for the massive amount of filtration.
