they are very nice :)
i got some fresher shots of them.
i will post em when i feel not lazy :)

darius has a very nice fish room.
though the fish i really wanted werent for sale..

i wanted him brevis pair..
derek, if you seen the male with the black markings, you will want it.
ive had them before and its very rare to see. this was the 3rd time ive seen it in 3 or 4 years. very rare to see. but mine are sunspots and his were kigoma.

but im not sure what will happen is they choose the breed. this is a show tank and i got them because they look nicer then brichardi. i was thinking of putting some S.petricolas in there

what would you guys recomend to my show tank

26G footprint 24x12 or 14x18
currently has..
1 leleupi
4gracilis
1 guppy-donno how she got in there

I love 'em,,,,Daffodil family, correct?
Love the 'blue" tips on the fins.
Nice pick-up multies. Good Job

If they are in the Daffodil family,,,are they sexed like them too?

multies - February 18, 2008 02:01 AM (GMT)
yes, they are pretty much the same.
the same branch.
though they are not seem often :(
i hope to spread them around so people can see how wonderful they are.
i love the clear, neatness of the gills. they is nothing there while the brichardi and pulchers have T's and I I's

Beautiful fish, Sean! the Clap

Great acquisition too! Bouncy

multies - February 18, 2008 05:38 PM (GMT)
not to sound stupid but...
what does acquisition mean??

preacherboy - February 18, 2008 10:58 PM (GMT)
It means to take something into one's possession!

Sorry Sean, let me just say as only we Kentuckians can do...

"You got yourself some real nice fish there, Sean!"

yodahorn - February 18, 2008 11:25 PM (GMT)
or backwoods Kentucky, "Dem dere some real nice feesh!"

multies - February 19, 2008 01:53 AM (GMT)
bad news, all are in a corner.
the bottom corner. the leleupi is bullying them.
im going to isolate her for a week.
hopefully thats enough time for them to stake out territories

Albino Pleco II - February 19, 2008 03:23 AM (GMT)
Oh, dont worry to much about the Leliupi,,,those Neolamps. can tend for themselves. Especially if they breed!!!!!!!!!

All you have to do is decide which fish you want. Hmmmm

I think long term the leleupi will need to go, eventually she will be the victim instead of the bully. she is a great looking fish from the pics i've seen you post of her. i bet you could easily find her a new home.

multies - February 19, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
i cant sell her, at all.
she belongs to my grandmother. she will have to go to another tank if i need to remove her.

the gracilis seem to be eating abit. a couple flakes. ive had her survive a breeding pair of wild neolamprologus pulcher. they were around 4inches. she was fine. no real damages except for alittle roughed up fins.

Les - February 19, 2008 09:53 PM (GMT)
try adding some rock work at one end of the tank- a clear spot- some rock work as a sight block in the center-a clear spot- and some rock work in the other corner

If you aquascape the tank this way from left to right, you sometimes find success because you are clearly defining specific territories that allows you to keep different species of neolamps together. The clear spots between the rock piles seems to help them distinguish between "boundary lines"

Good luck. Those are beautiful fish you have Good Job

ive tried it many times, the leleupi doesnt give a **** about anyones territories.
she knows she can kill all of them if she wants to.
she will go anywhere and everywhere.
i can try to remove her until the gracilis get a bit over 2inches and i can try to pair them up.
she can live with them until they get too aggressive.

multies - February 22, 2008 01:06 AM (GMT)

Nice looking tank.

Does'nt it suck,,,,,once you get the tank the way you like it,,,you've got to go fishing for the PITA and ruin the aquascaping.

chelsie - February 22, 2008 11:13 PM (GMT)
I love it, very nice Good Job

Debbie - March 3, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
Nice find...they are hard to some by around here.

multies - March 4, 2008 01:27 AM (GMT)
i threw em in my 35G because they were not doing great in my 26G.
now they are bossing the paracyps around.
but the dominant male doesnt. he can attack the gracilis but no one else can.
the gracilis are aiming for the females because they know they arent built to fight other fish. they are just running away.
