Title: Algae Growth on Plants

I have algae growth on my plants and need suggestions on how to remove it. Its strange cause i dont have hair algae anywhere but on my plants. I just read yodahorn's thread and cturner mentioning that she had algae growth on her plants too.

I was thinking of using my thumb and finger to wipe it off gently...anybody have any ideas or suggestions about this?

Here is a pic...

OK,,,I know NOTHING about plant life in tank water and I do not know what kind of fish are in it either.

But one of my suggestions would be to put an AP (my favorite) in the tank. Maybe they can take care of that problem altogether??????? Just a thought. Good luck. Cheers!!!

Otocinclus Algae Eater - get 1 for about every 5 gallons of tank.

Or you could dose with ferts and then the plants have a chance to compete and beat the algae for nutrients. Most of the hair algae will come off with a gentle wipe of the finger.
