There's the problem with your plants geelite. I remember you saying that one was not doing so well. Plants don't need blue lights. Blue lights are good for saltwater but aren't good for plants.
On my 90 I have a 48" Coralife with 2 X 96 watts daylight bulbs. I'm not sure of the spectrum of the bulbs. They are pretty old and I plan to update the lighting on this tank soon anyway! So with them being old they are probably only putting out about 96 watts.
On the 10 I have a 22" t5 bulbs 10,000K 2 x 45 watts.

Where is the cheapest place for lights. I need lights for a 120 gallon tank. I need ballasts as well

Hey Cichlid Kid, I think it depends on whether or not you're keeping a
planted tank with specific needs or just a fish only tank.
Most people opt for the regular florescent bulbs that you can find at any
hardware store or places like Lowe's or Home Depot.
Some like 50/50 daylight bulbs and others prefer a 6500 bulb.
Obviously, pet stores are going to be higher than these other stores, because
they are trying to sell specialty bulbs.
In addition, you should be able to find the ballast for your light fixture at
Lowe's or Home Depot as well.
Good luck!
