Title: This fish shouldn't work in the tank!

What is the strangest fish in your tank? When I released my bn plecos babies into the main tank. I also threw in the dalmation mollie that I had in the grow out tank (it was just there for a little action to make the grow out tank less boring). The mollie is doing great in the tank, no one bothers it. It even hangs out with the dominant male saulosi that tends to bully everyone else.

It's funny how that happens sometimes. I used to have a bunch of platy fry in with lab, greshakei, and socolofi fry and they all did fine together. I know it wouldn't have lasted forever, but I was surprised at how long they did last before I bought more fry tanks.

I also had a few left over community fish that ended up sharing their tank with mbuna for a very long time before I moved them out.

This was one of two Abramites headstanders that used to be in the tank. I eventually moved them out.

And here's my oldest fish; the first fish I bought when we moved to Washington over five years ago. A blue gourami and I still have him.

Keep a close eye on that mollie. You never know when those crazy mbuna might decide they've had enough.

Yeah, the mollie could be gone at any moment!

I think Mbuna are like pitbulls, friendly one minute
and the next, holy terror on four legs!

It's funny that there are many abnormalities in our hobby
that people find out about while in the hobby!

My sister has had some kind of a larger tetra in with her cichlids for over 3 years now! He's buddy buddy with her socolofi!

I don't expect it to last for ever, but kind of amusing nonetheless.
