Title: Simochromis update
buntbarsch - December 3, 2007 06:10 PM (GMT)
I just thought I give you a little update on my Simochromis Babaulti. They have now grown to about 2" - 2.5" and start to color up nicely. The most amazing thing however is that I had already 2 spawns. Right now I have them in a 4' 65g with some Tropheus but the time is comming were I have to move them to a larger tank.

Thanks guys.
They will grow to the same size as Tropheus (4"-5"). This is not one of the most spectacular looking fish when it comes to coloration. What you see in the pictures is pretty much what they will look like as adults. The red will intensify a little and so will the vertical bars. However, whatever they may luck in color, they make up in attitude. MarkW called them little "Largemouth Bass". twitchy twitchy twitchy
To me they are just another perfect tankmate for my Tropheus. Cloud 9
