As some of you might know I have tried my hand at live plants.

Well I went to do a water change on my 20 last night and I checked the water parameters before the water change like I always do. I have no Nitrates (or very little to tell) but I also have no ammonia and no nitrites. This tank has been up and running for 2 years now. I thought maybe it was my test kit but I get readings off the 90 so that's not the problem.

Anyone know what the problem could be??

I don't think it's any sort of problem, cturner. I think it's one of the benefits of having live plants.

I've read that they utilize the nitrates as a nutrient and help keep the levels down. Good Job
