Finally got a semi-clear pic of some of the fry in my grow out tank and thought I would share!

The fry actually grow quite slowly, but seem to have gone through a growth spurt recently. Most are around 1/2 inch right now, with some a slight bit larger. You can see that they are finally starting to look like little rams.

The little guys pack alot of attitude!

Thanks for looking!

That is a great shot Kim Good Job Good Job

I know how hard it is to get a clear picture of these little guys.

Thanks!

They are really precious little things...Very busy and constantly harrassing the tiny zebra that I mistakenly left in the tank. Kind of like a little tiny street gang!

Klaus, I got a new camera, still point and shoot, and I'm having a hard time with the settings on it, but I feel like if I can ever get it figured out, it will definitely make better pics than my old camera. My exposure and ISO settings are giving me fits! Giggly

Goodness, they already look just like Bolivian rams. I think the last picture I saw of them, they looked like tank debris. blinky

What kind of camera did you get?

Cool pic and nice shot of the cute little street gang!

I think the little snub noses are cute!

Aura, the camera is just a Sony point and shoot. I believe it's a DSCS700, 7.2 megapixels, I'm at work and we looked at so many it's hard to be 100% certain what we actually bought.

My old camera didn't have ISO settings, and my white balance seems to be totally different with this new camera, so I'm still in the experimental stages with it.

We had considered a SLR, but got a new pc and a better point and shoot instead!

Kim, I think that's the same camera that my daughter has and it works great. She takes better pictures of my fish than I do. Blush (I told her she should enter the photo contest.)

So, maybe she could give me lessons??? Giggly

If all else fails, I'll read the manual. I'm just kind of stubborn that way, and I don't really understand all the photography terminology, so it's easy for me to get frustrated and give up.

Very cute! Congrats on the luck you've had! I just found out I have two males....hahaha, guess my pair won't be spawning!

Thanks, Steph!

The adults are still establishing territories in the new tank since the move 2 weeks ago, so I shouldn't have spawning there for awhile. But I most likely won't salvage anymore fry, I did want to grow out this first bunch, though.

It will be interesting to see the ram parents take on the jack dempseys in the larger tank once they do spawn. I'm really not sure the JD's are aggressive enough to take on the rams! The electric blues tend to be a bit more timid than the regular JD's.
