Oh, Klaus, they are absolutely gorgeous...
It's amazing how different they can look in different lighting situations. That must have been a very nice morning for you, taking pics of these beauties!

Wow... if anything those are my favorite geophagus photos I have ever seen. The lighting just makes them glow in a way that seems natural rather than enhanced.
Sorry toi sound like a second-tier cast member from the 1969 touring company of "Hair", but I just loved those shots.

I agree with the above and I'll bet the plants enjoy a little bit of that sunshine too.

I'm laughing at the irony of Klaus' reaction to this situation as opposed to what mine would have been.
I would have seen the sun shining in the tank and thought "Oh, crap, more algae"...
Klaus sees it as a "photo op"...
Guess we can see who the optimist is and who is the pessimist!
Simply amazing pics, though. I had to come back for another look!
(No, Kim, no...You can't have any now...)

wow, I've always wanted to do a geophagus tank, maybe someday in a bigger house.

Klaus did do an amazing job with this pic and these fish.
And I was fortunate enough to have seen Birdman's group of
these fish at his house Tuesday afternoon.
They are incredible in person!
