Anyone kept these with Mbuna?

I've kept them with west africans, but balked at introducing them into a mbuna tank. They just struck me as being a more gentle fish and I was afraid they would not be able to handle an increase in frequency of aggressive behaviour.

If so, he's been with mbuna since he was a baby 7 years ago! My girlfriend was moving and gave him to me. She had him in with mbuna and so have I. He's pretty peacefull but when it comes to food, he holds his own! He just likes a place to hide that's his own.

Rena, how big is that cat?

I'm having trouble figuring out his size in comparison
to the rest of the those little fish and the driftwood.

Nice pics, BTW!

He's about 7-8 inches. I thought that I had some new pictures of him but I don't. In those pictures he was with 1" fry.

Rena, that looks like a Syno. Eupteris to me. Syn. Nigriventris have orange and black marbling on their backs. (And I originally misspelled it in my post and had to edit it!)

Okay I wasn't sure what his technical name was.

I've had two of these guys in with some Haps and Peacocks in my 33L for a couple of weeks and they all appear to be getting along.
