Internet Browser software: Opera
For me, I'm using Opera v7.54 instead. It is also another good alternative of IE6.
As usual, it also blocks advertisements (either block-all, block-unwanted & open in background etc), supports Java applets, support different OS like Windows/Mac/Linux/Free BSD etc.
You can choose to open several browsing windows in one main window (understand that currently only WinXP also support this feature) unlike the IE6 operating on other Windows OS, while using CTRL+TAB to swicth between the windows.
And like many media players, it allows you to choose alot of Skins & Colour Schemes to "Suit" your style :P
And you can customise a Personal Bookmark bar that shows on Top/Left/Right/Bottom of the browser (see attached sample, showing customised bookmarks on Top while displaying two browsing windows within one main window)

Of course there are also Cons against the above Pros:
1. It can't really works well with popular download manager like Flashget or NetTransport2 etc (not user friendly)
2. I think you may also face problem when playing windows media files (not confirmed..)
