ok lets see who update their data first?
the above is data i imported from yahoo finance into metastock
below is the SGX data on their chart
these are information as of friday 24-02-06, 800pm

Data downloaded legally (not ripped) from SGX website and updated into the
MetaStock format database.

ok, u went to check their website now (10.20pm), it's been updated to 24th
now i went back to yahoo and it is not updated, yahoo's still on 23th
managed to overcome this by mannually typing in the latest data <_< , which is a rather annoying task
how often does SGX update their data? once every 2 days?
and btw CSK, i tink your program is cool! it's a pity the market for it is small

nice "backfill" function for yahoo
i suppose the backfill function is because the monthly charts for yahoo doesnt update daily and the data from the 5 day charts for yahoo would be used and fill in the missing data from yahoo 1 month chart
also for SGX, the current day's data for Open, High, Low and Close are finished at 11pm, for the current day, is slower than yahoo's data
hence there's a need to use yahoo data to fill in the current SGX's data(because SGX's Open, High, Low and Close data comes out only at 11pm)?

The database being updated with today's (27 Feb 2006) stocks OHLC. The sun has
not set yet and there is a lot of time from now till bed time to do analysis. The SGX
has a good track record of reliability.
