You can get free data from Yahoo:
http://finance.yahoo.com/Just key in the symbol and you will get a chart of that symbol, together with a link to download data for that symbol. I think you need to do conversion if you wish to use Metastock to plot the chart using this data.
If the above is too troublesome, then take a look of the discussion at the thread below, especially on a program called MLDownloader. I am currently using it for my US & HK data and find it satisfactory.
