For centuries, the island of Alaunus has been shrouded in mystery, its shores home to some powerful and almost unexplainable phenomena. An ancient prophecy streching back centuries tells of four people who will gain the power of the elements should the magic woven into the very core of the island be unbalanced through an evil almost as old as the island itself. These four people come from extremely different backgrounds; one a mysterious figure dwelling in the island's forest, one raised from the depths of poverty to become one of the most influential members of the royal court and two are sisters from the royal bloodlines. But the prophecy has lain dormant for years, forgotten and sneered at. Never have two princesses been born to the royal family.
