For years, Professor Charles Xavier championed the peaceful relationship between mutants and humans, fostering the same belief in his young students. Between balancing academics, hormones, and Danger Room sessions, the junior X-Men struggle to conquer the obstacles that lay in the way, the greatest being the hatred of the very humans they wish to protect. Adolescence is never easy for ordinary kids, but then again, they’re anything but ordinary.

Still reeling from the siege of Genosha and their army of robot executioners, mutantkind’s troubles are hardly over just yet. As mutants across the globe gradually fall ill to a bizarre virus, their powers rage wildly out of control, making them a danger not only to themselves, but also to those around them. As the American government threatens to impose martial law and convert New York’s District X into a quarantine camp, the X-Men and Brotherhood scramble across the globe in search of a cure that might prevent the extermination humans have in mind for them.
