Nefas Leonardo Altima - August 2, 2007 03:14 AM (GMT)
Nefas stood on the edge of the roof, the planes streaking overhead on this exceptionally cold summer night. The moon full over head as his hood gently flapped amongst the cross the breeze. His eyes illuminating his sunglasses as he looked off into the well lit corners of Nice. He held up his hand, his vision against the moon, the bandages fresh and white it was an odd tendency of his to stare blankly at just about anything but it was merely for his own mental stability. He had had solitude for large intervals of time, silence, alone. A good start to those with no lives. But he was waiting, he would get his revenge against those mutts and maybe even kill a few. But tonight his mind was elsewhere, with the beauty of the dark star lit sky. He pulled out his blade and wiped the smudged reflection away to show the brilliant gleam of the composite metal.

He was distant, more then usual and it seemed too creepy for his guards. To their relief he waved them off to secure the perimeter. It was 3:00 am and the planes still flew in and out, a very small amount of people to be circulating the parking lot. One by one he watched as the people's figures walk the damp parking lots and drive away. Soon only the staff would be left and that was the time where they would be vulnerable, when the lycans might come. He was almost planning on it. For the past few weeks they had been kidnapping and probing members of their pack for information and tonight if any would be the night for them to strike.

He pulled out his .45, the polished metal reflecting nicely against the moon. He removed the magazine and cleared the chamber, the bullet flipping high into the air and landing neatly in his palm. He grinned that strange toothy grin so familiar to the horror movies of the old times. Now he was an icon of human to vampire peaceful relations but that might not last long. He slowly began to feel the presence of another vampire but he could not tell. He clicked the magazine back in and cocked the chamber. If it was an enemy he would be ready.

Nautica Black - August 2, 2007 04:00 AM (GMT)
Nautica was patrolling her usual spot in the Nice. She was alone and that was the way she liked it. The full moon's light that was coming through the window made Nautica's eyes glitter. She was thirsty. It had been at least two weeks since her last meal and she felt like hurtling herself out a window for her own ignorance. The lycans may be coming tonight and she could not afford to break her focus. But when Nautica was thristy, nothing else mattered. The hostile demon of hunger inside her took over and she sometimes couldn't remember what she was doing. It was a bit like being drunk. Everything seemed hazy and unfocused to her. Her eyes changed from their chocolate color to carmel as she heard the sound of footsteps a few hallways down. She felt for her revolver but caught a sent that told her she didn't need it. It was a human, probably the janitor cleaning up. The monster in her head raged as his scent filled her nostrils. She licked her fangs and rubbed her tongue against them. Her throat burned as she wanted more than anything to drink him dry. Nautica felt tied down, constricted by her own demon. She choked on her thrist and looked for some fresh air. She raced to the near by hallway and found a door to the roof.

As Nautica pulled the door open, the cold air from outside felt like an embrace. She slammed the door behinde her and felt weak. It took all of her strength to control her instinct. Nautica took quick breaths as she tried to regain some strenghth, She drooped to her knees and was shaking from the air. Then she noticed it. There was another vampire and it was close. Perhaps it was even watching her. She froze and straightened her spine but she didn't stand up. Nautica held her breath as she waited for the other vampire to show itself.[

By the mere sight of the girl he recognized her as one of his coven. One of the normal members that had managed to get stuck on Security Detail. He could tell by her eyes she had not fed herself in far too long. He remembered the blood pack that his assistant had given him. He barley moved, throwing the pouch within her reach. It was not the usual HemoBeta, artificial substitute that they used, a local hospital had been nice enough to send them some of the older packs that had not been used. It was pure A+ blood, this perticular batch was from a blood drive a few weeks ago. He grinned before he spoke.

"You know, we have these in the fridge in the lower level. I always tell you people to drink up, as much as you can before going out on patrol." He chuckled slightly.

He was always happy to help out his coven but he could at least get a few laughs here and there. He slipped his .45 back into his holster and did his freaky, "Hey look I move without actually moving my legs" thing and appeared next to her. He was not used to that smell yet, she still had a little blood sucker left in her but in time hopefully that would change. He sat down, putting his back against the cold steel door. His right leg pulled in, his left laid flat against the paved roof. His hands gently rested in a funeral position across his lap.

He laughed slightly remembering the time his sisters had forgotten to eat, shortly after being turned into one. She had turned pale white and began crawling around the manor looking for blood. One of the lighter sides of their family history. He turned to her, his sunglasses shining from his eyes. He pulled down his hood and bit his tounge, making a slightly goofy face to the almost starved girl.

The vampire who was watching her finally showed itself. It was Nefas, her coven's leader. She felt embaressed to be in such a state, pale and bloodthirsty, in front of her coven's leader. He threw a blood pouch in her direction and her eyes light up. It was A positive, pure and sweet. Although it was at least a week old, the second her lips touched the blood, she could feel the color return to her face. Her rosie cheeks turned pink again and her eyes turned to the warm chocolate color they usually were. He grinned at her and she(after wiping the blood away from her mouth) did likewise.

She had been ignorant, again, and had completely forgot about the blood packs in the fridge. She felt dumb and ashamed having to be fed to. Although, things were becoming sharper and clear with each drop of blood and she felt no longer felt drunk. Nautica felt the sensation that humans feel the morning after they had a few too many. Her head throbbed but at least she felt better.

Nautica watched as he slipped his wepon away. She stared at little as he sort of floated in her direction.. She was still on her knees, though she was more relaxed. As he sat down beside her, she heard him laugh. She hadn't gone this long without eating in a long time. The last time she could remember was when she attempted to feast apon her own brother and sister. Though she was happy she hadn't killed them, she still shivered at the memory. Nefas made a face that immediately made her forget the memory. His funny face made her laugh her pure and sweet laugh. She hadn't laughed in at least a year.

"Nefas, I'm so sorry for this. I must look like a complete savage," she said a little sheepishly. She looked towards him and could barely even look him in the eye. Her own stupidy had told her she could do awhile with a meal and she had only herself to blame for her embaressment. She flicked her hair out of her face and looked at her feet. Her usual slipper shoes on her feet. Nautica always wore them, even in battle. They were the most comfy things in the world. Granite, steal toed boots made a good weapon in battel, but comfort was always a must to Nautica.

He thought for a moment, scratching his head. His glasses, slipping down the rim of his nose. He could not help that he was forgetting something all of a sudden. He shook it off, not really that concerned of the side thoughts. He pulled the hem of his pants up, tightening the laces on his shoes before pushing his glasses back up.

Nefas laughed, what an odd thing to say. More then a few occasions he had been caught and starved. Then again the coven has let everyone experience the pain and drowsiness created by that hunger. It was more of a right of passage then anything. He leaned his head back, taking in the moon light. It was a goodnight and you never know maybe he could teach her somethings. He got up, dusting off his pants and putting his hood back up. He offered his hand to her.

He could not really think of what to do next. Maybe it was to late for a stroll, to reduce the number of even possible casualties he should round them up soon. But from the lack of noise coming from the far reaches of the airport nothing was happening. He looked off into the open water just a few miles away. A nice site for the temperatures that they had been having.

Nautica clicked her shoes together as Refas thought to himself. Finally the her face had returned to full color and the warmth in her came flooding back. Her hair flipped back into her face. She brushed it away again, a little frustrated this time. At this rate, she was going to chop it all off! She looked at Nefas as he laughed at her apology. It was a funny thing to say but she was embarressed easily. She stared at the moon and let its light surrond her. The cold air was perfect and the moon light was plesant. Her eyes glittered, this time not from hunger, but enjoyment.

As Nefas offered her his hand, she took it without haste. She stood up from where she was to discover that she was a mess. She brushed her jeans off with her free hand. She watched Nefas as he tried to think of something to do. The silence on the roof was eery. The plans were no longer landing and the wind was blowing slightly. It was almost too quiet for Nautica. She always did like hustle and bustle. She looked at Nefas and smiled big. Tonight she was in a good mood, which was surpising.

Nefas Leonardo Altima - August 6, 2007 12:52 AM (GMT)
He started down the stairs to the normal level, his hood pulled back into place. He straightened his collar and walked down the hall. The lights quickly went out as they went further into the Airport. One of his men would always make sure to shut off the power before they left. Simply to hide their numbers and their direction. In this life there was no such thing as too careful and Nefas was not one to slack on security. He looked out the windows every so often to watch for passing figures. The threat of an attack was still a probability of the night. there was still plenty of night light and those damn wolves would not pass up a chance if he slipped up. He stopped amongst the darkness. There was no sign of anything or anyone.

He continued on, passing through the main entrance and out into the cool night air. There was nothing, the calm of the night disguised many things. He again shrugged off the ominous feeling and waited for one of his men to bring a car around. The moon still hanging stoically amongst the stars. The buildings off in the distance shinning the reflection back to the sky. He watched as a black car came around. He opened the door and waited for Nautica.

Nautica felt the gentle pull of her hand as a sign that they were moving. She followed closely behind Nefas and watched as the world slowly turned. Her hand in his made reality seem to slow down and the vampire world spin faster. She looked out the windows to see that everything was completely still. There was no one around. The lights behinde them dissapeared as the moved towards the exit. At least if the wolves did come, they wouldn't be able to see much.

The cool air hit her like a slap in the face this time instead of a hug. Leaving the main entrance of the Nice behind, Nefas and Nautica walked on. As they waited Nautica wondered wear they were going. The darkness felt comfortable to her. She loved the nightime because there were so many things you could do and couldn't be seen. Her eyes began to focus as she strained to look into the dark. Nefas' car pulled around and he opened the door for her. She hopped in and let go of his hand. As she closed the door behind her, the warmth of the car wrapped around her. She sat in wondered wear they were going and what they were doing. She trusted her leader had something in mind.

Nefas Leonardo Altima - June 12, 2008 07:01 PM (GMT)
Nefas walked around the black sedan and opened the door, quickly slipping in. When he finally rested in back into the seat he noticed how close he had ended up to Nautica. Something about her scent, it was strange yet almost entrancing. His eyes began to glow in that bluer shade of white. He restrained himself for the time being, such an advance was seeds for the weeds of gossip. He gestured to the driver and they were off. Te night was still young and the air was still fresh with the smell of purity. The wolves were under the radar today, strange as it contrasted so much with their recent activity. He was ready for a night on the town so he leaned forward to the driver. "Take us to the club, make sure they have my private villa ready." The driver nodded and Nefas sat back. At the very least he would have fun tonight.

He sat back and took a deep breath. All this paranoia was making him tense, this was maybe the only second he'd had all night to relax for a second. He looked over to Nautica and smiled, his eyes still very much lit. "Ready to have some fun?"

((Sorry, getting ready for work, it's a little short.))
