| <span style='font-size:7pt;line-height:100%'>"Thanks Andromeda..." - "Sorry 'bout that Andy..." "You're welcome." Andy shrugged, not really having anything to be thanked for, other than picking up a broom and de-dusting his head, but it was always nice to be thanked anyway, so she wasn't going to complain. It would sound rather odd if she did anyway, no, do not thank me.. I do not wish to be thanked.., it even sounded odd in her head.. Hmm.. "And it's fine.." she added after his last statement, and smiled at the two of them, Remus because he had apologised and thanked her, and Ted because he had said it was always a pleasure to see her. She liked it when people were nice.. and polite, but the latter was not a necessity in her mind. "No flying? I like it a lot. Though if you joined the team, I might feel sorry for whooping Slytherins on game day." Andy laughed at that, "Oh really? Beat us bad, would you? I'm afraid I have to beg to differ.." she told him, not entirely sure if he was actually correct or not, but hey, the idea was never to back down at a statement like that, unless, of course, you knew that you were crap. Never try and gloat about something you cannot do, or you will look like an idiot when you are asked to do it. "I'm afraid, dear Ted, that the only way you would win, is if we let you, my sisters are very talented, after all.." she pointed out with a small wink. This was the truth, of course, as much as Andy (and usuall the rest of the school) sometimes hated to admit it, the sisters Black were extremely talented, and could go very far in life if they do so wished. The only problem was, Andy worried slightly about which path they would take, knowing that if it was the one she suspected then they would surely drift apart. She did not want that to happen, however much they argued, and Andy hoped that her sisters would agree with her. Andromeda silently decided to ask her sisters' opinions about whether or not she should actually join the quidditch team, she didn't really take part in house competitions, and wondered whether she would be letting her house down even more if she continued this way. Andy was not really famous for her slytherin like qualities, of course, although some people automatically assumed that she was like her sisters, and others sometimes accused her of just being quietly evil, one day to turn on her 'friends', giving them no room to escape from her viper's grip. Andy didn't really take this offensively, she had learned long ago that there was no point in dwelling on the thoughts of others, but she would still like to prove the people that thought this way wrong, even if they were few and far between. So, thinking of this, she thought that perhaps it would be nice to be a part of the team, although she had no clue which position she would be good at. Andy wondered whether or not Ted would mind going with her down to the pitch one day and taking a look for her, to find strength and weaknesses. Although, if he was competitive then maybe he would rather not, or do so and then lie, so that his team would win. She didn't think he was like this, but Andy had only spoken to him once before, so she couldn't really be sure. "You sisters are on the team, right? They must be pretty good, for I hear that Slytherins like their teams filled with big intimidating guys. And I don't find you big or masculine, Andromeda." "Um.. thank you?" Andy thought it was safe to call that statement a compliment, deciding it was nice to know that she didn't look like a man. Although she wasn't entirely sure what his first statement had meant, Bella, much to her disappointment, was slightly short for her age, and Cissy was definately not masculine, with her long and silky blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes. Lots of people found her looks to be perfect, and her sisters often tried to dig in the fact that all Black women were beautiful, and always had been. Andy knew that she paled in comparison to Cissy's beauty, and that she wasn't as half as striking as Bellatrix, but.. she supposed, she was in her own way slightly pretty, or, at the very least, she was not ugly. She never spoke like this aloud though, Andy didn't want to seem big headed. At that particular moment in time, Andromeda did not notice that he had left out intimidating in the list of things that she was not, but if she had noticed, she wouldn't really have any idea why. Maybe because she was surrounded by pureblood fanatics, like her family, and some of her friends. But she was not with them all the time, Andy had always thought that her friends were split pretty evenly among the bloods, she had a nice mix of them. Of course, she was closer to some than others, but that was besides the point, she couldn't have hundreds of best friends, that would be spreading herself too finely, and she wouldn't be able to handle it. "Small and feminine people can be good at quidditch too, you know.." she pointed out, of course, you cold not be too feminine when on the team, as if you were going to go crashing into the muddy ground below, it wouldn't really help, but if Cissy managed to not scream out every time she broke a nail, then Andy was sure that she would be able to manage it. Although she wasn't too fond about the mud idea, then again, that is what baths are for. "Small people can zip between the other players, it's easier to dodge, and they're lighter on their brooms too.." she pointed out again, of course, these factors all contributed to each other. Small players being lighter on their brooms made it easier for them to dodge because it would be easier to steer, and being able to dodge well meant they would be able to zip between the other players with ease. "Nice way to travel, by broom, I mean." Andy shrugged, "I suppose, I think you have to be in certain conditions for you to appreciate it though.." she said, for example, on one side you could be happily gliding through the air, not a cloud in sight and the sun heating up your skin. On the other hand, you could be fighting against wind and rain, with bugs in your teeth, frozen to your broom. Ew. The latter was definately not Andy's idea of fun. "How about you Remus?" she asked, thinking he had been slightly quiet about the topic, "What do you think about it all? Quidditch and flying?" she added, finding this conversation quite interesting and pleasant. She liked to talk, it was good. |
