Newbie, here...I'm only on my 5th night - guess I shouldn't be whining! :(
I'm on a BIPAP with a pressure of 22/18. I have to have a full face mask and I'm worried the constant 'leaks' may be an ongoing problem, based on what I've read. Mask is a Mirage Quattro....
Anyway, I must be really eating some air. Aside from constantly waking up with the air leak noise and trying to re-adjust, I'm experiencing some gas in the mornngs. Is this uncommon?
So many questions...so little time.
Hi - I just picked up my bi-pap machine yesterday, so I'm a very newbie, too. During my meeting with the respiratory therapist, she mentioned there may be times, especially at the higher pressures (mine is 18) that you may swallow air and this causes "you to become bloated and gas will come out both ends." She said it may be a good idea if this happens to take some GasX before going to sleep. Like I said, I'm a newbie and haven't had this happen to me (yet) but I thought I'd pass on what the respiratory therapist advised me. Good luck!
