I am awake right now due to one of my episodes (not breathing, heart pounding, etc.) and I think I am noticing something about them..... I have put myself on the south beach diet. I have been on it now for about a month and have lost 25lbs. since losing that weight, I really haven't had any episodes where I wake up like that except for the two times I ate things that are not good for me. One time it was three slices of pizza, and today I had wendys. It may just be a huge coinsidence, but I'm wondering if eating bad food is what helps cause those episodes. When I eat healthfully, I feel (for the most part) really good. Granted, there were a few times I would still wake myself up, but they were minor, and I was able to fall right back to sleep.
Does this make sense to anyone, or am I just crazy?
Hi, in reading your post I can't help but wonder about your blood sugar. I am diabetic ( onset during chemo nine years ago) and when I eat something that causes my sugar to rise too much I get a similar response. I have the heart racing and so on. It is probably not what causes yours, but have you been tested? Just wondering. Good job on the weight loss, congrats!
