I have been dealing with apnea a long time. About 6 years ago I had my first sleep study they told me at that time I had 124 events an hour but 84 where true events the other 40 my airway opened without disturbing my sleep and RLS was present. After 5 sleep studies by three different doctors I found no help. I have been trying to use CPAP ever since. I gave up on doc’s a little over two years ago. I still try to get CPAP to work almost every night at a level of 10. the first doc told me use level 5 the second doc told me to use level 15 the third but me on 10. It seems my apnea happens has soon has I fall asleep to the point I will snort if laying on my back and wake right back up. I only sleep on my sides.
Here are my questions
Does anyone else snore with CPAP on?
Does or did anyone out there wake up every hour or so with CPAP on and had problems getting back to sleep? And what if anything did you do to resolve?
Does anyone out there have the same problem with the snort if they try to sleep on there back? This snort happens immediately if I fall asleep on my back within a second or two.

well had my 6th sleepstudy last night. The tech told me that the reason I snore with the mask on is do to lack of Moisture in my throat and this is also the reason I wake up about every hour. Last night he started me on level 8 and said that changing the pressure made very little difference in snoring or apnea events. He also imformed me that I have a problem with PLM's. I have tried requip to control the PLM thing. seems to work for a week or two but then I get insomnia to where it will take me up to three or more hours to fall asleep.
has anybody else had luck controling there PLM's? with something other then requip.
