Title: Noisy Cpap
Description: Noisy Cpap

I use a RemasterPlus M Series Cpap and I love the size and portability. The only problem is that the air pressure sound it makes goes up and down quite loudly as I breathe (as opposed to a continuous hum) so that my wife has to put on a wave sound machine to cover up the noise (it gets even worse if I use the C-Flex function, which I don't use due to this). Granted, it still beats the sound of snoring, but if anyone has another Cpap machine they recomend that is more soothing, please let me know.

Thanks!

I use the same model with a humidifier and it is very very quiet. Note cflex vs. no cflex makes no difference at all. My wife loves it as she swears it is far quieter than the previous generation. My experience is major mask leaks makes for a more noisy machine as it tries to adjust for the problems it has keeping a pressure. Mine also sits on a carpeted floor which I believe may help muffle some of the sound. I've never studied it carefully but the engineer is me wonders why you'd think your's is loud and mine is very quiet.

Maybe a difference in pressure ? I'm on the low end at 8.
