Just a note to our new and existing members -
In order to control a host of recent spammers on Apnea Board, unfortunately we must review all new member applications and manually approve them. This means that when you sign up, you can create your username & password and read the forums, but you will not be able to immediately post a message or reply to a message, or make further changes to your user account, such as uploading an avatar, etc., until your membership is approved.
ConnCarl and SuperSleeper (Apnea Board Administrators) log on from time to time to review and approve new member applications. We are both busy people, so sometimes this can be done quickly, but more often, it can take 24-48 hours or so. Thank you for your understanding on this, but a recent increase in spam postings have forced us to take this measure. We try to spot obvious spammers, by their usernames or email addresses, and sometimes, we may deny a membership to what we think is a spammer, but... we do make mistakes. If you have been denied membership and you're not a spammer, by all means, please email me at apneaboard@gmail.com, and let me know.
Since Carl and I are not here all the time, I encourage our existing members to welcome new members and assist them as best they can. Apnea Board was created so that Sleep Apnea patients would have an open and free place to help one another, without being influenced by commercial posts, or forum members & administrators who have a product to sell.
