In an effort to control the recent flood of spam posting on Apnea Board, new members must be approved by the Administrator prior to receiving the ability to post or reply to a message on the board.

In some cases, it may take up to 24-36 hours for approval to take place. Anyone can read the board prior to becoming a new member... New Members will receive a confirmation email when they are approved.

Hopefully the spam will decrease and we will be able to go back to the regular email-validation method of registering after a few days/weeks.

Carl- hopefully this will help a bit. Let's test it out and see. We were getting about 10 spam posts per day over the last couple of days.

I couldn't agree more, Supe. They've been popping up faster than I could delete them...I think this is a wise move. If you need a hand with the approvals let me know.
