I'm getting LAUP next week. I've got moderate OSA, went initially to a doctor who wanted to go full bore UPPP. Got a second opinion from a more accomplished doctor who wanted to be much more gradual. Bottom line, after trying anti-inflammatory sprays and steroids in my nose/turbinates, we're going to do a LAUP reduction of my uvula and palate next week.

He's told me that I'll probably have to go in three times, one hour apiece. Success rate after 1 time is 10%, after 2 is 50%, and after 3 is 80%. He said I should be a good candidate in that I'm slim and generally a healthy guy.

Just curious if anyone has any experience or opinions on this. Thanks very much in advance for any insight.
