Title: Using a nasal mask and a chin strap
Description: Will this work?

I've been trying to use CPAP for about six months now. The first mask tried is a full face mask but the bridge of my nose became so sore that I could't continue with it. The second mask was the Hybrid. That lasted for seven days--about a half hour each day. I tried to go back to the full face mask with a bandaid on the bridge of my nose but I couldn't even get to sleep. Has anyone tried a nasal mask and a chin strap?

Welcome to Apnea Board, traveller.

A properly fitted full-face mask really shouldn't make the bridge of your nose sore. I've been using FF masks for years, and I tried the Mirage Ultra, the Respironics Comfort Full, and the F&P HC431 before I found the right one for me. I suggest that you visit your DME provider or have them bring you one of each to try for yourself. They can also double-check your fitment to be sure you have the correct size mask.

Good luck!

Carl

Sounds like it is too tight.
