Title: New Mirage Swift II nasal pillows mask

supersleeper - April 27, 2007 03:40 AM (GMT)
Looks like Resmed has a new Mirage Swift nasal pillows system, called the Mirage Swift II.

I love my regular Mirage Swift, but this one looks like it has an important feature that my wife really thinks she'll like: Resmed says it has a "New air vent that delivers air quietly and gently away from the partner and bed partner (86% quieter than the Mirage Swift)."

Well, looks like this will be my next purchase, once I can find the cash. If anyone gets this new mask, let me know how you like it.

Hi,
I just got this mask, and compared to my nasal mask before, I love this one. I still cant sleep on my side comfortably with it, but my partner noticed the difference of air that shoots his way, he says its less harsh than my other mask.
the only problem im having now with this mask, is water getting stuck in my hose, not sure if it has to do with the mask, but this started the first night I changed mask.
Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

The secret to sleeping on your side is to not turn your face into the pillow so much. I sleep on both sides and do not have problems. I even can lay on my stomach with my face off the edge of the pillow and arm up under my head.

I use an OptiLife and the new Swift II masks. I don't route the hose up and over my head either. I have the cpap very close to the bed on the nightstand. I have a velcro strap with a clip that wraps around the hose and clamps the hose to the bed sheets. There is enough hose down my side and up to the mask to allow me to roll over.

-Cheers!
